DNA Reproduction Unit 1 is trying to teach DNA Reproduction Unit 2 how to play rock-paper-scissors. “You shouldn’t always play the same thing,” DRU-1 explained.

“Yeah,” I said, passing by, “because then your opponent will always be able to predict what you’ll do. The only Nash Equilibrium is for each of you to play each of the 3 possible moves with probabiilty 1/3.”

“I have no idea what you just said, DRU-1 responds.

DRU-2 solves the whole problem by simply changing the chosen move after seeing the opponent’s move. Heh. DRU-1 is trying to explain that you can’t do this.
