A book owned by Shakespeare?

The Folger Shakespeare Library ranks up there in my list of Coolest Places on Earth. Here's another reason why:

Now, they never say this book belonged to Shakespeare, but why else would he sign the title page?

Super-cool, right? It'll be interesting to see the conclusions the team reaches!

I was actually just there on Sunday. Unfortunately, I had a plane to catch and not enough time to spend, having been distracted earlier in the day by the Botanic Gardens. The current exhibit, Shakespeare's Sisters, is fascinating.

I live about four blocks from the Folger and adore it. I really liked the exhibit they had recently on the King James Bible, and then too recently I went to a reading by Arthur Phillips from his book The Tragedy of Arthur -- http://www.librarything.com/work/10909362/book/83253971 -- which, as you may know, contains an entire play "by Shakespeare" that Phillips wrote himself.

I did read it, yes! I too thought he did a grand job. Though I didn't like the play itself much. But what a quibble, right? Also his reading was very funny: he did it in "character." So postmodern. Am halfway through another book of his, The Song is You, which, hmm, I should add to my 'Currently Reading,' shouldn't I.
