You've stumbled into the celebretory zone! As you cross that 50K barrier, this room opens to allow confetti showers (plus others in the back), relaxation, and various other treats to enjoy.

Come one come all! The cheerleaders are here to celebrate!

I love my little purple bar. I do kinda miss the green bar though, when you've passed 50k but haven't validated. I liked that.

Anyways, 51.3k win.

And one of my friends kindly let me use her credit card to buy a NaNo Winner's shirt. Yay! (This is how I've done it for years, asking friends and giving them the money, 'cause I have no Paypal or credit cards).

*Drags across the line with 51250 words*

Nice : first time I "win" out of third attempts

More disquieting : more than 2/3 of the "word count" is little more than history/world-building and assorted outlines, plans and notes that quietly sprawled out of control rather than anything like a first draft

Yes, but you've got the start of a good project for the next year.
*throws confetti!*

Good for you!
Alas, I failed again. I can throw some blame at Yarny but I have to take most of the blame since I didn't start with a clear idea of my story and characters and with only a month, there wasn't time to develop them. I will get my background started earlier next year. There is always next year!

Congratulations to everyone!

I did well this year despite so many things going wrong in Real Life that I couldn't even keep track of them. The days with electrical problems were difficult. LOL

Congrats to all the winners! (I know I'm a bit late on this)

I too crossed the finish line and I'm now working on editing my NaNo so thought I check here before looking at the other threads.
