Egads, I looked up and found that I had 900 books unshared. I have a collection of old travel books, for instance, The Rhine from Rotterdam to Constance - Handbook for Travellers by Karl Baedeker. My edition is from 1906. I also have old almanacs and directories of various sorts, stuff which most people don't keep, or at least, not the older ones.

So, I am going to mention a book which I helped in the editing, but has a truly limited audience, Through the years, 1834-1988 : a history of the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan. I really dont' expect people to go out and find it. It came out in 1989, and was still available at the Detroit Cathedral Bookstore a year ago, but probably nowhere else.

There is another book, written by a member of the church I attend in New York, Lucinda Mosher, who has started writing an interfaith series, from her work among the diverse groups in New York City and elsewhere. Her first title is Belonging (Faith in the Neighborhood), which is unshared and unheralded. Different groups have differing sense of identity (what do you have to do to belong, or who/what are your parents?). What do various people do in community to have shared fellowship.

The Rhine from Rotterdam to Constance - Handbook for Travellers now has two friends. :)

Well, two of us will maintain my median obscurity at 8, although my 'mean' is about ready to jump to 200 (as more people join LT).
