Currently I'm reading Above the Dungeon by S.M. Johnson (2012).
It's m-m bdsm erotica, I think. I'm around 25% in it so far, so not sure if any other/different labels apply. So far it's very enjoyable, nice writing style, characters I have a feeling I could actually meet irl, both bonusses in my book.

Currently reading, along with a whole lot of other stuff, Extreme bull by Catt Ford (2009).
m-m, rather more than romance (for the which I'm thankful) and western/cowboy/denim/bull-riding themed. It's working well for me.
cf Bluerabella (vide supra) these are not characters that I think I'm likely to meet IRL, more's the pity.

S M Johnson sounds charmingly pseudnomic for this genre.

Reminds me of the SM anthology authored by A M LeDeluge!

I just finished reading Venus in Furs in the volume Masochism that includes Deleuze's Coldness and Cruelty. It was a good read, and I've posted a review.

I've just posted my review of The Pleasure Quest of the R.S.P. I'd love it if anyone could tip me off to similar works.

Rereading The Sadeian Woman by Angela Carter. Seemed like a great way to start the new year.

Rereading Morgan Hawke's Hungry Spirits. Tentacle porn at its finest!

I'm quite sorry that it appears she has stopped writing - I just have to content myself with re-reading . .

Just finished Loving Leo by Anny Dixon. WOWIE ZOWIE! Talk about hot! I definitely think it's the next 50 Shades of Grey!

Thanks to the spam, I was reminded of this thread. I'm finally reading The Pleasures of Cloris; so glad I managed to find a copy.

I hope you like it as much as I do. I'm still on the hunt for the mysterious and elusive Robert Marks!

That's the one where they introduce the character of Cloris, correct? Loved that one.

Clifford, I thought you had found him...?

>12 lennynero:
I found him after a fashion, with the help of an enthusiast living in Charleston, SC. But the more you find out, the more you find enigmatic in his life-story. This is, to a large extent, because the folks in his home town seem to be embarrassed by his parallel existence of Marks as John Colleton. Time seems to have moved more slowly in those parts, and the aging population of those who knew him are seriously at risk from the Grim Reaper. The world has moved on rather more briskly in matters of what constitutes erotica. I live in hope. There is at least one seam of archival data, but mining it will be labour-intensive.

Yes, it seems to be Cloris's first appearance. I haven't read the two earlier volumes, though. The only other Colleton I've read was The Naked Countess, and it was quite a while ago. I liked that one fine, but The Pleasures of Cloris was really excellent. But I can't know if it's a difference in the books, or a change in my tastes and experience, or both.
