New to the Group.... What's your favorite YA dystopian book?

I'm looking for new books to review anyone have any futuristic society books you love?

Patrick Ness : Chaos walking trilogy, excellent sci fi, complex characters, thought provocking about nature of tyranny and control in a dystopian society.

I see in your library you already have Divergent listed. Others you probably know about are The Hunger Games trilogy and The Maze Runner trilogy. If not, I'd recommend those.

One I also recommend is Ashfall and it's sequel by Mike Mullin. It's a post-apocalyptic, dystopian type series about the affects of a super volocanic eruption on society. Has a good strong female character.

Looking at your profile I would also recommend a YA book by Patrick Ness called A Monster Calls. Despite the title, it's not really horror.

EDIT: I second Ready Player one. It's a fun dystopian book.

Alexandra Bracken's The Darkest Minds is a great addition to the dystopian genre. I read a galley of the sequel, Never Fade, which comes out in October (?), and it was equally riveting.

+1 on The Maze Runner.

I've also enjoyed The City Of Ember books.

Uglies is also very good, although I haven't read the sequels yet.

I thought Life As We Knew It was great, but the sequel pales in comparison.

Gone by Michael Grant is fantastically strange.

Worldshaker and Inside: Inside Out / Outside In are both excellent and have some nice twists and turns.

Across The Universe is good.

Z for Zachariah is amazing. It's definitely dystopian, although I don't think it counts as "futuristic society."

Wool series by Hugh Howey is excellent.

Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Maberry for a look at life after the zombie apocolypse.
Delirium series by Lauren Oliver. Love is a disease you are cured of by the government at 16.
The 100 series by Kass Morgan. 100 juvenille delinquents are sent back to earth after centuries to see if the planet can be reinhabited after nuclear war.

I loved all of these. Dystopian lit is my all time favorite genre.

Thirding Ready Player One It had some plot issues but is definitely a good read. I'd also recommend Ender's Game which I don't think is on here yet. My friends and I used to joke that if they ever made a movie of EG, they'd have to get Tarantino to direct in order to make a remotely accurate adaptation. (knowing that would never happen)

I really liked bumped a lot.

I just finished Pure and would recommend it for dystopia lovers.

Any more recent YA Dystopias to recommend? I'm rereading Matched again and want to get back into the genre.
