Well lets see. This will be my fifth quest at this mythical goal. In 2010 I read 74 books. In 2011 I read 71 books. In 2012 I read 62 books. And last year in 2013 I wound up reading 77 books.

So seeing a bit of a pattern forming I decided to try a new attitude. I tend to read non fiction, history and the like. I know just looking at my to be read shelves, I can pick out several books that sadly wait for me to get around to them. That ones that you look at and then put it aside for another (usually shorter!) selections. Now I'm actually going to try to accomplish a few of these unknown worlds.

Well guess what?

Sure enough a new group piques my interests. It's called THE BIG FAT BOOK CLUB. Like this group, you set your own reading goals. The only stipulation is that only books of over 600 pages qualify.

If this sounds at all like something you might enjoy PLEASE look us up. THANKS!

Let me at 'em!!!

Welcome back! I love the "big fat book club" idea, will have to check them out (although I am a fan of shorter works; I seem to have a short attention span!).

I rather like it too. Does anyone have a link? It would be good just for the times one does read a true 'tome'.
