Okay, I found the new year and joined the right group, since I have so many unread books.

I will not list them all - far too many.

>6 .Monkey.: I read in the 75er group about ROOT and didn't what they were talking about, so I looked around and then thought that I would fit here, because there are so many books I haven't read.

>7 connie53: Well, you and Barbara were talking about ROOT which made me curious... Hugs back

>5 paulstalder: That feels familiar, the other day I wrote 2013 in a couple of letters!

Mrz. 8, 2014, 4:14 pm

>9 connie53: nope - apart from reading, do I need a goal? I think I am going to read 75 books this year - and if a third of those are 'older' books, I am pretty happy. And tickers: no , I never installed one and wouldn't know where and how to get one.

>10 rabbitprincess: thanks - it will be a challenge to remember the 'old' books and not just take out new ones from the library.

>11 MissWatson: okay, I am not the only one doing that :)

Hi Paul, well it's fun to have a goal. For instance: My ROOT goal is 24 and you know I'm in the 75ers group. I want to fit 24 of my books that have been on my shelves for more than a year into the 75 challenge. That is about what you are saying.

1. So I determined first how long the books had to be on my shelves to qualify.
2. Then I decided the amount of books I want to read as ROOTs

Cyderry is keeping track of the number of the books we want to read (a bit like PaulC with stats and stuff) So if you put your goal in your first post she will know.

And about the tickers: That's not mandatory. But it's fun too.

You can visit my thread or Barb's (Ameise) one to see who we went about that one or you can follow instruction in this thread http://www.librarything.nl/topic/163562

But only if you want to do a ticker thing!

Hugs, Connie

a ticker:

And now you have to put it in the ticker thread for Chèli to see it!

That one is here: http://www.librarything.nl/topic/162053

>15 connie53: I went Dutch over there, LT switched from English to Dutch, phew, so I am glad it worked

But I am not too sure about the 50 books, I just put in a number - but it would really to be a nice thing, to read all these books sitting around me getting dusty....

19connie53
Mai 4, 2014, 3:06 pm

I choose 75 books. But I don't think I will reach that goal. We just do the best we can.

Okay, I should have known my link would take you to the dutch version. But I'm glad is worked out!

Thanks, Connie. It took me some time to actually decide to take on a ticker (I hope I remember to update it when appropriate ... :) )

>23 Merryann: They were really hanging around for some time and you are right, it is good feeling having read them now.

>24 MissWatson: well, four were single short stories, so the progress is in numbers, not in pages - but still, I am pleased about it.
