Hello everyone,

These are the books that will be shown as movies this August 2007.
I hope you will read these before watching the movie versions.

Bourne Ultimatum - Robert Ludlum ( 2007 Aug 03 )
Stardust - Neil Gaiman ( 2007 Aug 10 )
Invasion of the Body Snatchers - Jack Finney ( 2007 Aug 17 )
Last Legion - Valerio Manfredi ( 2007 Aug 24 )

Thanks

Erick

Also don't forget Wristcutters, the adaptation of Pizzeria Kamikaze, released by After Dark Films...

I'm surprised Harry Potter hasn't been mentioned yet LOL!

There's also 1408 by Stephen King and, of course, Nancy Drew.

I realize all of these movies were released in July, but they continue to play in certain theatres around here, so I thought I'd include them. ;)

Last Legion looks particularly interesting to me. I've been interested in the Arthurian Legends since I was little, and I find the recent discovery that they might have been based partially on historical events to be particularly interesting.

I don't know much about Last Legion, but I'm planning to see Bourne Ultimatum and Stardust. I'm not much of a fan of Neil Gaiman's writing, but I loved Mirrormask, so it seems I like his movies better. And I've seen all the Bourne movies in the theater so far, so why not this one as well.

Stardust is one of those books I want to read before seeing the movie. I've not done either yet.

I loved the Bourne movies, but did not much enjoy the book when I read it. It's been so long ago I can't remember why. I just remember thinking, "Oh, OK, I don't need to read any more of that series."

I was talking to my dad about the Bourne books the other day. It's just as well you didn't keep going - apparently the following books are worse.
