I have a couple of Audible credits to use, and I would like to add more comedy to my audio library. I prefer not to listen to novels, because the pacing isn't right for me. I'm alright with some profanity/obscenity, but don't want to hear it every few minutes. And I'm not a fan of David Sedaris. Any suggestions?

Mark Twain short stories?
I looked through my collection of Audio books, and I find I listen mostly to fantasy. I know you said no novels, but Terry Pratchett's Discwold books are laugh out loud entertainment.

Do you like vintage comedies very popular over radio and television?
Jack Benny, Bob Hope, Jack Benny , Jonathan Winter
Are these too old for you?
Try Jerry Seinfield, maybe he had some stand up comedies.
Monty Python

Dad is Fat by comedian, Jiff Gaffigan was very funny - especially if you've raised kids. He has 5!
If you like the Beatles Paul is Undead by Alan Goldsher was hilarious!
Those are two that come to mind off the top of my head.

I enjoyed reading Tina Fey's book Bossypants and have to imagine the audio would be amusing, esp. if she reads it herself.

I suggest anything by Bill Bryson. Although its not comedy per se, it's really hilarious. He meets many strange characters who are really funny.

Thank you! I knew you guys would have some good ideas. Now I have some searching to do.
>2 2wonderY: The Colour of Magic was one audio novel that I did enjoy. I think it's because it is sort of episodic, being more of an introduction to Discworld, whereas most novels are more plot-driven. I started Mort on audio, but once I got caught up in the plot, I had to stop because I wanted to read at my own pace. If there was a book of Discworld short stories, it would be perfect for me.
>4 ktleyed: I saw Dad is Fat in a store, and that is actually what triggered this search. I looked it up on Audible, but since I'm not familiar with Jim Gaffigan, I wasn't sure. Now that I have a definite recommendation, I think I'll try it.

I loved "sh*t my dad said" by Justin Halpern - memoir of his dad - lots of adult language but what dad used around his son.

i second Bill Bryson's, especially his travel audios...I laughed myself silly over some of his experiences. He has an eye for the absurd. He often reads his own work and is a terrific narrator.

Lewis Black has some good stuff out there, and like Mark Twain, not every word or story is hilarious.
But some of it is down-right incredibly funny.
