Denver Area Meetups

Today's meetup was at The Tattered Cover in Highlands Ranch with Donna (Donna828), Joanne (coppers), Anne (AMQS), Marina (Anne's delightful and lovely daughter), and Mary (Storeetllr). As usual, we had a great time! Here are a few photos of the gang:

It was a dark and stormy night, but our meetup with Reba was warm and laughter-filled:

Anne (AMQS) joined us at the Barnes and Noble for awhile, but she had to leave before we managed to remember to get a photo of all four of us.

Another great meetup yestereday (10/4)! Donna (Donna828) drove all the way from Missouri for the meetup... What? Oh, fine. Truth is, she came to spend a week or so with her delightful granddaughter Hope and kindly made the time to attend a meetup. We met at a wonderful little bookstore in Evergreen, CO called HearthFire Books, where we all bought more than a few books and other stuff that we needed (everyone needs a tin of Thinking Putty, right?), then had a really delicious meal at Cuisine of the Himalayas. Here we are at table awaiting our meal of curried wonderfulness.

Appetizer: Himalayan MOMOs

Main Course:

Himalayan Lamb Biryanis
Himalayan Chicken Korma
Mish Mash (Himalayan Chicken Tika Masala)
Aloo Gobi (curried cauliflower & potatoes)

I'd have taken pics of the food but was too busy enjoying it!

Thanks for posting the photo, Mary. I loved that the bookstore had such a wonderful collection of books and bookish stuff, (not to mention the Thinking Putty), and the food at Cuisine of the Himalayas was so very, very good, but it was the company of you, Anne, and Donna that made the afternoon so much fun!

Mary, thanks for starting this thread and posting your pictures. We are developing a history together! I always look forward to my trips to CO and meeting up with you wonderful women. Good friends, Good memories!

That's a really good photo, Donna! Thanks for posting! Only one thing, why does it make me look like I'm so much bigger than the rest of you? I'm not, really. (Am I?) It's just where I was sitting, right?

Anyway, it was as always lovely to see you and Joanne again, and I really enjoyed meeting Kris and hope she'll join us for our next meetup (sometime in the summer), and that Anne will be able to join us then too.
