My Goal: To read at least 1 book per month for that particular category. Recommendations are always welcome, but I prefer to read from my own stash first. :) The books listed below are just maybes for now (unless they have a star next to them; then they've been read & rated).
ETA: Also, I hope to get all of the below boxes X'd out.

I didn't finish the horror challenge or the horror bingo card below. :( Bummer. August (Psychological) I'm still reading (Skin by Kathe Koja), and September (Southern Gothic) I skipped. So I suppose 83% complete isn't bad. And I was 84% complete with the horror bingo card. Better luck in 2016!!

Hi Sara! For the light/humorous category, you may also consider A. Lee Martinez. You may remember I was recommending him on my 75 book challenge thread. Gil's All Fright Diner is decent, and he has other horror-themed books that I haven't gotten around to yet.

>Hi Stephen! :) Glad you found me. Those are both great suggestions. Actually, I will add Monster by A. Lee Martinez to my light/humorous category, since I own that book. I think I do remember you mentioning him before. Which book was it you read by him?

I was reading Emperor Mollusk Vs. The Sinister Brain at the time, but I've also read Gil's All Fright Diner and Divine Misfortune.
16saraslibrary
Oh, that's right! I didn't recognize the titles, but I definitely recall the covers, especially the Emperor one.

Victorian Gothic is Gothic lit written in the Victorian period, I'm not sure that the titles you've got listed quiiiiite fit the bill there ;) but you've got some interesting selections here, I will be curious to read your thoughts on them! :))
18saraslibrary
I know you're right. :) I just don't own any books written in the Victorian period. :( And, honestly, I just chose those by looking at LT's victorian gothic tags. But who knows, I might find some Victorian books by next year, so we'll see. :) Thanks for helping me out!
19.Monkey.
Do you use an e-reader? If so, I'm sure a number of them are on Gutenberg for free. If not, Wordsworth Editions makes really cheap copies of old classic stuff, if you're interested. :) The period includes things like Dracula and Jekyll & Hyde and Jane Eyre, lots of good stuff available! :D

*smacks forehead* I never even thought of that. I forgot there are free versions of older books. Thank you so much! :)

How did I not comment here and start "watching" your thread sooner!? Oops! Wish I'd set my thread up nice and neat like you did at the start!
22saraslibrary
LOL! It's ok. It's hard to keep up with every thread on LT. :) I like your thread! You review your reads and update where you are with each book. That takes a lot of work. :)
23LibraryCin
I post reviews in soooo many different places. It is hard to keep track of. I usually have to write down all the different "categories" my review fits to remember to post in all the different places!
The way yours is set up at the top is kind of how I have my 12x12/15x15/whatever-the-heck-it-is is set up for me. It just looks so much neater and tidier as a nice summary, I guess.

Oh, man, that would be a headache trying to remember which category to post your reviews in, especially since there about a million and one categories going on. ;)
Thank you! :) I think I learned to do it that way from other LTers and from my past threads. You'll find a set-up that works for you.
