If you're looking for something to add to your holiday reading collection, try "A Stone Mountain Christmas" from Gilded Dragonfly Books:

http://www.amazon.com/Stone-Mountain-Christmas-Melba-Moon-ebook/dp/B00PL5L4SQ/re...

My short story in this collection, "Christmas Rose" by Nan Monroe (my author name), is one of which I'm quite proud.

Hi! My new novel, The Zombie Sheriff Takes Tucson: A Love Story, will be released on Amazon and other retailers on February 20th.

Advance reading copies are currently available in the Giveaways section, in exchange for an honest review.

Here's the back cover blurb:

Honor. Justice. Brains.

Perched on the border between civilized ghoulkind and the chaos of the barbaric slickskins, the zombie sheriff must rescue his kidnapped friends from the dastardly McFarland and his notorious gang of outlaws. He assembles a posse of the most talented zombies around, including Mungo, a zombie chef interested in locally sourced ingredients, Bub, a barber whose enormous strength somewhat makes up for his complete lack of intelligence, and Dr. Callahan, a would-be pacifist who reattaches misplaced limbs with gusto.

As the posse tracks McFarland, they soon realize that they themselves are being pursued. The ever-courteous Abernathy Jones, as quick with his business cards as he is with his deadly cane, is out to settle an old score from the sheriff’s pre-zombie past, though exactly what he wants is anyone’s guess.

Even more troubling, the sheriff begins to hear rumors that the true reason for his friends’ abduction is to provide test subjects for the sadistic experiments of the mysterious Dr. Gimmler-Heichman.

The Zombie Sheriff Takes Tucson: A Love Story is the absurd, tongue-through-cheek tale of reanimated cowboys, undying love, and the lengths to which one zombie will go for justice. And for brains.

Toss in one insane boss, a sweet and sassy gal pal, a dreamboat boyfriend with cold feet, a wisecracking roommate and what might be the worst TV commercials ever made, and you've got a witty, wonderful story that will keep you laughing until the very last page

Month of Judgment by Amy Corwin
A paranormal suspense

As the Carolina swamp heat cools with the approach of autumn, an ancient evil stirs among the cypress. Drifting through the shadows cast by the twisted trees, it awaits the feckless and unwary. Those who elect to ignore the legends do so at their peril and are rarely seen—alive—again.

Unaware of the mystery surrounding the swamp, Emily Anderson is desperate for a change. A tragic series of events has left her alone and aching with sorrow over the deaths of her husband, son, and daughter-in-law. Her home no longer feels like the refuge it once was, and the fleeting shadows and ghosts of the family she lost darken the empty rooms and haunt her sleep. When a friend suggests a camping trip, Emily jumps at the chance to get away for a few days and relax.

Unfortunately, neither woman realizes that November is the wrong time to enter the swamp. Something awaits them, a power beyond imagination that haunts the woods, and unless they can unravel the mystery and escape, they may become just two more names on the list of the missing.

If you are interested in reviewing Month of Judgment, I have ebook and a limited number of paperback copies available, so just let me know.

Thanks and enjoy!

Hello everyone! Reading can be so much fun. What makes it difficult for some of us is that there is not enough time in the day to read what we would like. I have just published a book entitled "Murder Seen Through the Eyes of a Child" a story about a family's struggle to protect their land from being destroyed and eventually themselves. It is a short 2 - 4 hour read that will tug at all of your emotions. You can see a excerpt of this book at my website nathanrhodesauthor.com or at any of your online stores. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this release.

Hey everyone!

I'm in between novels right now, and am having an impossible time deciding which of three partially finished novels I should finish and release first.

So, I'm setting up a poll for the next two weeks, giving the power totally to the audience. If you have a little bit of time today, would you read the beginnings of each of my potential novels, then vote for which novel you'd most like to see released? (You can also just look at the concepts, if you don't have time to read the samples). Two are mysteries, one is magical realism, but all essentially deal with the coming-of-age adventures of life.

If you're up to it, you can read and vote here: http://michaeljwoodwriting.com.

Thanks so much!

Michael

Looking for reviewers for my historical novel: Sword of the Gladiatrix. Will send paper or ebook (reviewer's choice) in exchange for an honest review. Back cover copy:

Two women. Two swords. One victor.

An action-packed tale that exposes the brutal underside of Imperial Rome, Sword of the Gladiatrix brings to life unforgettable characters and exotic settings. From the far edges of the Empire, two women come to battle on the hot sands of the arena in Nero's Rome: Afra, scout and beast master to the Queen of Kush; and Cinnia, warrior-bard and companion to Queen Boudica of the British Iceni. Enslaved, forced to fight for their lives and the Romans' pleasure; they seek to replace lost friendship, love, and family in each other's arms. But the Roman arena offers only two futures: the Gate of Life for the victors or the Gate of Death for the losers.

Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for reviews for my novel DEVELOPING MINDS: AN AMERICAN GHOST STORY.

DEVELOPING MINDS follows a group of recent college graduates who struggle with feelings of alienation and their addictions as they try to survive a year of teaching in two dysfunctional Miami public schools.

Red City Review calls it "A frighteningly accurate depiction of inner-city schools… a full-bodied work of fiction that will ring true with both students and teachers,” and the Stargazer Literary Prizes recently named it a finalist in their 2015 competition for best Visionary and Metaphysical Fiction.

DEVELOPING MINDS will be published by Laughing Fire Press in September 2015. I can send a PDF immediately, a MOBI and/or EPUB in about a week, or a print copy in a few weeks.

I'm an award-winning novelist, screenwriter, songwriter, and poet based in San Diego. My work often explores themes of alienation and misery as human constructions that can be overcome through self-understanding and the acceptance of suffering.

Please let me know if you need anything else to consider my novel for review!

Thank You,

Like so many other authors on this page, I'm also looking for honest reviewers of my recently published novel FLING! According to Lewis Buzbee, author and professor of creative writing at the University of San Francisco, “Fling! is both hilarious and touching, the madcap journey of an aging mother and her adult daughter from cold Protestant Canada into the hallucinogenic heart of Mexico's magic, where the past literally comes to life. Every page is a surprise… A scintillating read.”

The San Francisco Weekly recommended Fling! as one of the eight summer reads along with Judy Blume, Bruce Bochy, and other more well-known authors. It reads, "A 90-year-old woman goes on a trip to Mexico City with her hippie daughter — and runs into several very dead, very funny relatives on the way — in the freewheeling new novel from the Bay Area author, who teaches writing at the University of San Francisco."

Fling! should appeal to a broad range of readers. While the main characters are middle-aged and older, their zest for life would draw readers of all ages, male or female, attracting the youthful adventurer in most people. The heart of the book is how they approach their aging selves and are open to new experiences.

More About Fling!: When ninety-year-old Bubbles receives a letter from Mexico City asking her to pick up her mother’s ashes, lost there seventy years earlier and only now surfacing, she hatches a plan. A woman with a mission, Bubbles convinces her hippie daughter Feather to accompany her on the quest. Both women have recently shed husbands and have a secondary agenda: they’d like a little action. And they get it.

Alternating narratives weave together Feather and Bubbles’ odyssey. The two women travel south from Canada to Mexico where Bubbles’ long-dead mother, grandmother, and grandfather turn up, enlivening the narrative with their hilarious antics.

In Mexico, where reality and magic co-exist, Feather gets a new sense of her mother, and Bubbles’ quest for her mother’s ashes—and a new man—increases her zest for life. Unlike most women her age, fun-loving Bubbles takes risks, believing she’s immortal. She doesn’t hold back in any way, eating heartily and lusting after strangers, exulting in her youthful spirit.

Readers will believe they’ve found the fountain of youth themselves in this character. At ninety, Bubbles comes into her own, coming to age, proving it’s never too late to fulfill one’s dreams.

I’ll look forward to hearing from you.

There’re so many questions we’ve growing up. The people and institutions that nurture us never answer questions about sex, friendships, life and the real world. We finish our studies, get a job, and most of us may even have a family. But those questions unanswered sometimes do come back to haunt and make us feel helpless. Though what if, we could set things straight from the start? And not suffer the pain of realising?

Hi everyone.

New here. Have my debut novel, Native Moments, being published on Sept. 15th 2016 by Waldorf Publishing.

Here is the description:

Set in 1999 Costa Rica, Sanch Murray and his friend Jake Higdon wander the dirt roads of Tamarindo and surrounding areas chasing waves as a way to live out the romantic fantasy lifestyle of traveling surfers. Jake Higdon, six years Sanch's senior, takes on the role of the wise leader and Sanch as his young apprentice. Sanch's adventure leads to encounters with people who share world views he had never considered and could potentially shape his own changing perceptions about life. His existential adjustment gradually manifests through sometimes humorous episodes such as trying his hand as a matador at a road side rodeo or in his not so humorous battle with dysentery. Along his journey, Sanch befriends a shamanistic traveler named Rob, young revolutionaries from Argentina, numerous expatriates from around the world trying to escape whatever it is that keeps chasing them and making them wanderers and a beautiful local girl named Andrea who Sanch suspects is a prostitute but can't help falling for.

And here is what Poet Jonathan Fink has said about it. This is will be a blurb on the back cover.

"Like the Walt Whitman lines from which Nic Schuck takes the title for his debut novel, Native Moments explores 'life coarse and rank' with its 'libidinous joys' and passions. With a keen ear for dialogue and a poet’s eye for the resonate detail, Nic Schuck creates a world his readers will be eager to enter and reluctant to leave."

-- Jonathan Fink, author of The Crossing

Would love you guys could add my book. Also, check out my website: https://nicschuck.wordpress.com

Hi,
Eyubea Girls is a historical women's fiction book that takes place in the early 1900s. It does have some romance but it's not the main driver of the story.

Here's the blurb:
Graham Tate-Fuller needs a wife. Not just any wife. One who is young enough to take on his education mission to the African continent and not ask too many questions about his past. Lisbette Caldwell is just seventeen, a young woman who isn't ready to give up her tomboy ways. She dreams of playing football and becoming a teacher just like her father. Through a series of circumstances beyond her control, Lisbette marries Graham and embarks on an adventure in Eyubea, a small independent township in southern Africa which managed to escape the colonial rule that overtook many other African nations.
There Lisbette settles into her new life as an assistant teacher to a small group of young girls who will have no choice but to become wives and mothers too soon. It's a simple enough task that will turn into a fight for their lives as Graham's past catches up to them and Lisbette faces the dark side of marriage in a land not her own.
Set in the early 1900's, Lisbette is forced to take a stand for herself and her Eyubea Girls against stacked odds, even if it means losing the life she's come to love. With the help of new friends and a will to carve out her own place in the world, she searches for a way to live life on her own terms in a place she will come to call home.

For those who want to buy it and have some room in their book budget, here's the link: http://amzn.to/1NhdP1Z
If you want a free copy for review, I will only do mobis at this time so please message me with your '@kindle.com" address, I will send it directly.
Eyubea Girls is also available on:

Nook http://bit.ly/EyubeaGirls-Nook

Trumpdhole
Hot Yoga Fart Armageddon
50 Shades of Shite
Tartdashian
Sahara Plaindim
Piggalicious
Ghonnaria Kreek
Chickenhorq
Politician Pinot
Screeching Preacher

Example Review:

Trumpdhole Reserve: 2015, Pinot Gris, Trumpdhole Estate, Manginastan Island, Manginastan: The propaganda team behind this namesake from the Trumpdhole Estate purport this Pinot to be the best wine in the world and all other products are inferior.

Almost clear in colour with just a hint of orangutan and a heavily infused bitter barnyard apple nose, this venomous vintage is arrogantly woven to an obnoxiously rich ‘screw you’ fruity statue, with a curious backcombed prickly sphincter hair texture. First dribble offers bastardized notes of acidic melon and pear that slap the taste buds with more shock than an egg flavored trombone fart at a christening. Maliciously followed by rude stabs of peach and nettle, that claw an already wounded palate with more horror than a virgin bottom being ploughed in a prison shower block, this offensive fuckbinge to fermentation finally shuts up with sickly sweet citrus tax haven whispers, laced with freshly fertilized autumn orchard.

However, it does with more surprise than a pubic hair toupee on a Brazilian beach, pair splendidly with hot fired Mexican scape goat bollocks, on a raft of sphincter spiced rude slobby potatoes mash, lathered in a rich truffle infused ablution. Great choice for political events or even a quiet evening talking down to apprentice wannabies

Hello! If you like books like, "Good Omens", check out my debut novel, Operation Cosmic Teapot. I'm running a giveaway on LibraryThing, so enter to win a copy! Here is the lowdown:

"A virgin birth? A virgin? Her?" God shouted at Freud while recalling his one night stand with Mary. Freud snorted another line of cocaine in celebration, believing that this story would help Nietzsche in his quest to fire God from Heaven Inc. Nietzsche, however, had other problems: the Norse gods were running amok on Earth, his board of directors were in a constant state of chaos, and syphilis pushed him into a past life that he would rather forget.

Operation Cosmic Teapot is a dark comedy that utilizes half-true history and colliding philosophies to explore what happens when gods and philosophers work together. The only ones able to escape the chaos are the Norse gods who flee from Heaven Inc. on a quest to find their Rainbow Bridge, which they believe to be located in Bifrost, Manitoba. Believing that the Norsemen are gone to reclaim religious dominance on Earth, Nietzsche unleashes an ancient warlord on them.

Hello all. I'm proud to introduce my new novel TRUSTING BAMBOO BRIDGES

Kelley is an experienced laboratory supervisor, and has been hunting malaria in African clinics for years, so when she is asked to temporarily supervise the lab in a Burmese refugee camp, she figures it will be a quick and easy babysitting job.
She could not be more wrong.
The Burmese military, SLORC, is on the move, ethnic Karen refugees are flooding over the border, and the aid agency CIVIL is mobilizing. Kelley finds herself in a team of well-meaning Westerners, and a diverse mix of Karen, who have politics, personal bias and even the weather conspiring against them.
Trusting Bamboo Bridges challenges our views of an idyllic Thailand, helpless refugees, and selfless aid-workers.

I spent two years working along the Thai-Burmese border, and Trusting Bamboo Bridges is a memoir gone mad. The story is very loosely based on my experiences, but encompasses the true history of this complex region.

You are welcome to preview the first chapters on my website www.katherinejohnson.ca
The ebook is available from Amazon and Kobo, or in print directly from my website.

Thank you and enjoy
Katherine

Restless Desires by Stacie Orion
a cozy romantic mystery

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CSOTPX8

---
With "Shoot first, ask later" as hotshot detective Xander Lewis' motto, he's more likely to kill someone than solve a case. When a gruesome murder occurs at a Victorian mansion, he and his sidekick are called in to investigate. Tactless, quick to judge, and borderline comical, he has ample opportunities to rub people the wrong way. With the list of suspects mounting and no murder weapon to be found, he's got his work cut out for him. Will he be able to solve the mystery, or will his unorthodox methods finally land him in trouble?

Meanwhile, feisty stay-at-home mom Kim Verraros can't stand her mother-in-law. Their petty feud has lasted over 20 years and she's beginning to feel like victory is out of reach. But when she gets a call from her P.I. with proof of juicy dirt on her arch nemesis, she has a tough decision to make: should she use this information to her benefit, or is keeping family together more important than personal gratification? Or maybe she should keep an eye on her own sordid secrets?

Best wishes and happy reading,
Stacie

Hi folks,

I just had a story reprinted such that it's now available online free for the first time. It's titled "Suicide Club" and has been reprinted in Trigger Warning: Short Fiction with Pictures. The story is only about 1,500 words long. While it's not cheerful, it's also not graphic (although there is a little profanity). It's definitely not autobiographical!

http://www.triggerwarningshortfiction.com/suicide-club/

If anyone is so inclined to read it, I also have a very short, 3-question survey asking about one specific aspect of the story. (I can't be more specific without influencing answers.)

Hi everyone,

My first novel, The Oarsman, is up on Amazon and other sites. I've also placed the eBook for free on NoiseTrade ( http://books.noisetrade.com/zubinmathai/the-oarsman ) for a few weeks to hopefully garner some reviews.

If you would like to review it, please download it from there, or contact me and I can send the first few readers a paperback version too.

Description:
A magical river begins singing, and a dying man suddenly aches to know if the paradise at its end is real enough to fill his heart.

He hires an oarsman to take him upstream, but a twisted encounter sends them back to revisit every role the man has played in his long life.

A merchant hoarding, an artist painting love, a warrior looking for peace in war, and a dreamer imagining himself a knight to fight a dragon — these, and more, were faces of the man.

As sinister agents relentlessly pursue, and as they row further back into the man’s past, the man begins to suspect that the oarsman is more than he seems.

An Early Review:
"The Oarsman, by Zubin Mathai, is a wonderfully inspiring read, undoubtedly one of the more beautifully penned literary works." -- IWIC Magazine.

I'd love to read /exchange reviews with other self-pubbed authors. My young adult novel is Muriel Avenue Sluts.

Complete with duct tape, wasp spray, and a healthy dose of sexual tension, MURIEL AVENUE SLUTS is a decidedly feminist coming-of-age story with a dark edge and plenty of heart. #stopslutshaming

I have Epub, mobi, or PDF. I post reviews on Amazon, Goodreads and Library Thing. Let me know.

my best,
Maggie

Hello Readers! Through the rest of the year, you can download a free copy of my historical novel,

Syncopation, a Memoir of Adele Hugo.

Syncopation is the story of Victor Hugo's youngest child. A poet and pianist, Adele was born in 1830, a time when women were not allowed to have ambitions outside the home. This fictionalized memoir is the story of her scandalous attempt to break free from her society's conventions. If you read it, I hope you'll write a review. Thanks, Elizabeth

Hi folks,

'Legionary: Empire of Shades' is a tale of military adventure in Late Antiquity.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Legionary-Empire-Shades-6-ebook/dp/B0713XVJQ2

"379 AD: Thracia has fallen to the Gothic horde…

With the ashes of Adrianople still swirling in the air, the Eastern Roman Empire is in turmoil. The emperor is dead, the throne lies empty and the remaining fragments of the army are few and scattered. Numerius Vitellius Pavo, now Tribunus of the XI Claudia, tries to hold his patchwork ranks together amidst the storm. One of the few legions to have survived the disaster at Adrianople, the Claudia do what they can to keep alive the dying flame of hope.

When word spreads of a new Eastern Emperor, those hopes rise. But the coming of this leader will stir the Gothic War to new heights. And it will cast Pavo headlong into the sights of the one responsible for the East’s plight – a man mighty and seemingly untouchable, and one who will surely crush any who dares to challenge him.

From the ashes of Adrianople, new heroes will rise… with dark ghosts in close pursuit."

The Braiding of Diverse Lives
By Marti Eicholz
Publisher: Ebookit.com
Published: November 2017
ISBN: 978-1456629465
ASIN: B077NNQTYF
Pages: 501
Genre: Contemporary Fiction

'The Braiding of Diverse Lives' is a moving story that follows two very special girls. Mitsy is the daughter of a busy preacher and a distant mother. Angel is the daughter of lovers who are drug addicts.

At the story's outset, Luke looks on as the culmination of Mitsy's lifelong dream, her refuge for homeless, abused, and orphaned children, goes up in flames. Luke recalls his relationship with Mitsy and these streets during his adolescence.

Now, Mitsy is gravely injured when she rushes back inside the burning building to save her beloved dog, Blackie. As she lies in a hospital bed in a medically induced coma, her future uncertain, her current boyfriend, Andy, revisits her past.

Luke convinces his lover, Mary, to smuggle drugs into the U.K., but she is caught and sent to prison. While detained, Mary realizes she is pregnant and gives birth to a baby girl, whom she names Angel. After spending just a few months with her mother, infant Angel is whisked away by Luke to live with him and his new girlfriend, Sophia, who runs a hair and fashion studio.

As she grows older, Angel discovers that living with Luke and Sophia has its own problems; she is frequently caught in the crossfire of their contentious relationship. Luke, ultimately, abandons them. Sophia is a negligent caretaker, perhaps because the child is not her own, so six-year-old Angel runs away. Filthy, hungry, and alone, Angel escapes the city and is found in the farm fields of a kindly couple who take her to Mitsy's nearby orphaned children's home.

The different characters in the story demonstrate the coincidences and synchronicity of the universe that are a part of our everyday lives we often fail to see. Everywhere Mitsy and Angel go, they touch those who meet them, and somehow, all the characters seem inextricably linked to each other.

This compelling story illustrates the determination and strength of character needed for both Mitsy and Angel to overcome their early childhood traumas and grow into women who thrive against all odds.

Hello everyone,

I am in need of reviewers for my short story fiction: Mrs. Millionaire Short Story Book Series. If this sounds like a book you would be interested in reading, please email me at Marissa.marchan@yahoo.com and I will send you a PDF copy. Thank you very much for your time.

MRS. MILLIONAIRE SHORT STORY BOOK SERIES VOLUME 1

Mrs. Millionaire Short Story Book Series Volume I contain five stories. Each completely stands on its own, without a cliffhanger. It tells the story of different characters suffering personal crises whose lives intertwine with Tilly at various points and tie together into one big surprise ending.

MRS. MILLIONAIRE AND THE HOMELESS WOMAN Book 1

Matilde, or “Tilly” to her family and friends, was a rebellious teenager who loved to get herself into unnecessary trouble, and her wild behavior continued to escalate as she grew older. The lack of discipline from her parents created no moral boundaries. However, sometimes events, even the most extenuating and tragic ones, play tricks on us that change our lives forever and some teach us lessons we never forget. Tilly was attacked in the underground parking garage, but grateful that a stranger had come by and rescued her. That event changed her perspective on life and helped shape her to be a better person.

This story is about Matilde’s transition from a rebellious teenager to a philanthropist. It sounds simple but powerful. Who could ever have guessed she would one day become a different kind of superhero—without a mask or costume, helping the poor, the homeless, and abandoned children. She even set up a private foundation aimed at helping deserving individuals with a million-dollar gift, and the serious giving began.
She is Mrs. Millionaire.

MRS. MILLIONAIRE AND THE BAD FATHER Book 2

Matt Calderon was a loving husband and dedicated father of two children. Everyone in the community knew him well. Everything about him was admirable and dependable. His wife, Maria, had a medical condition that limited her ability to perform manual work and so Matt had to work two jobs to provide for his family. Despite the challenges and obstacles they faced, they remained hopeful and optimistic. They were poor in material things, but they were rich in love.

Sometimes, life was full of surprises. Matt’s boss accused him of stealing money. Without any choice, Matt, along with his family, fled from their home to avoid arrest for a crime he didn’t commit.
Could there still be hope for them?

MRS. MILLIONAIRE AND THE WAITRESS Book 3

Lucy was only two years old when her mother passed away. Her father remarried shortly after that to a widow with a son and daughter. Her father never revealed the truth about her life, and so Lucy thought her stepmother was her real mother. Her father’s untimely death a few months before graduating from high school left her with the only family she had known, and they began to show their selfish colors. They mistreated her, always showing a preference for her brother and sister. Despite their evil treatment of her, she remained a kind and thoughtful daughter and sister to her family. Would Lucy ever find out about her life, and more importantly, would she fully accept the truth?

MRS. MILLIONAIRE AND THE RUNAWAY KIDS Book 4

With the desire and the determination to give his four kids a better life and to restore the relationship with them, shortly after his wife’s death, James Curtis reluctantly accepted a position as a supervisor at a textile company and moved to Connecticut. Things had been great at his new job. Unfortunately, one coworker was spiteful and envious of his popularity. He successfully discredited James, causing him to be fired. Depressed, James looked to a bottle for relief. Due to an accident, James was left in a coma. The children were temporarily placed in a children’s shelter until they could arrange to put them in foster homes. They would be split up and placed in two different homes. That chain of events made the children decide to run away. Would James come out of the coma? Would the family be reunited and made whole again?

MRS. MILLIONAIRE AND THE DELIVERY GIRL Book 5

Nancy never expected to work as a delivery girl. She had plans, high hopes, and big dreams. She focused on her studies and was involved in various social groups and even set aside dating until she had a career. That is until she met Julius and found herself attracted to his bad boy, biker image, and rebellious look. In a blink of an eye, Nancy’s dream of a successful career shattered. They got married at a City Hall with only a few friends present. After the marriage, her parents disowned her.

Julius had a bit of roving eye and a seemingly insatiable appetite for pretty women, and he continued to satisfy those urges even after they were married. When Nancy caught him cheating on her, the trust she had was tested. It turned her whole world upside-down. Should she forgive him for cheating? Would they survive the infidelity?

I'm looking for horror readers. I will gladly gift anyone a FREE Kindle version ( in the USA: Amazon does not allow international gifting) of my Deadly Reality TV Series Book #1 Easy Money. Email me at sharoncheatham81@gmail.com
What would you do to earn 'Easy Money'?
There's a new reality TV game show that pays contestants to hurt themselves. How much pain would you endure to make some quick cash? Would you shoot yourself with a nail gun for $10,000? There are plenty of contestants willing to go on live TV to make a quick buck. Would you watch the show? The ratings are looking good. 'Easy Money' becomes the most talked about show on television.
Follow Damon Dahmer, the executive producer, as he creates such a bizarre television show. Damon is not only making good television, he is also struggling with his own inner needs to watch people in pain. Slowly, Damon pushes boundaries to find what is acceptable and what is not. Throw in his own revenge vendetta, and Damon's personal pain show viewings, and you get the first book in the series of 'Deadly Reality TV'.
Is the real horror what people are doing to themselves? Or is it the man that Damon reveals himself to be? Maybe it's just scary that people are actually watching the show.
Viewer (reading) discretion is advised. Not for the faint of heart. Recommended for 18+ due to some violent content. Warning: There are some bloody scenes.

My friend's very good book Battle Ground, available free kindle download from Amazon for a few days. YA dystopia, near future political thriller.
From the author's website https://tallerbooks.com/
Sixteen-year-old Bex Ellman has been drafted into an army she doesn’t support and a cause she doesn’t believe in. Her plan is to keep her head down, and keep herself and her friends safe – until she witnesses an atrocity she can’t ignore, and a government conspiracy that threatens lives all over the UK. With her loyalties challenged, Bex must decide who to fight for – and who to leave behind.

I enjoyed it, quite suitable for non-YA readers too! Well written, with care and attention to detail, good pacing, inventive plot, and worthwhile commentary on our times, what's not to love.

Hi People,

If anyone wants a free download code for my new audiobook Tree of Lives, please contact me at treeoflives@yahoo.com.

Tree of Lives is a heroine’s journey through the violent gauntlet of a narcissistic father, an enabling mother and a lecherous older brother, and how this toxic cocktail affected the trajectory of a life. The protagonist, Ruth, struggles to identify why she was a perpetual victim for decades, making mistake after mistake. Inured to danger by growing up under the shadow of violence, Ruth attracted more and more narcissists as an adult. After much struggle Ruth used her artwork and visualization through hypnosis to harness the power of her imagination and identify what she was doing. Along the way she discovered a secret family tragedy. After she was able to identify the nexus of her father’s problem (his murderous, schizophrenic uncle), she used this understanding to finally begin healing herself. It is illustrated with artwork from my career.

Although it is a novel and not a self-help book, Tree of Lives is currently being used by therapists internationally who find it to be a “cathartic codex that inspires healing.” It shows that accessing one’s Higher Self has great potential for gaining perspective. For more, see treeoflives.net.

I'm seeking reviews for my historical fiction novel, Angel of Mercy.

Hettie Steward is feisty, educated, ambitious and stubborn. Hettie marries the love of her life, Geoffrey Bartlette, in spring 1914, but has difficulty accepting that marriage means sacrificing her beloved nursing career. When the Great War begins, Geoffrey enlists and Hettie eagerly accepts an opportunity to join the Canadian Army Nursing Service. Although she’s nervous about the war, returning to work was exactly what she had been craving.

The old adage “be careful what you wish for, you just might get it” proves true. Soon tragedy strikes, and Hettie’s life is steered onto a new path.

Will Hettie return home or stay in Europe and continue nursing? Will she discover the person she is meant to be?

She is inspired by another woman, who went with her husband to the Sudan as medical volunteers for a charity organisation.
A tale of raw emotion, desperation and acceptance.

I may have posted this in the wrong thread before. I apologize for the duplicate.

I am a new author and have recently self-published my first book of poetry, Lines by Leon: Poems, Prose, and Pictures in January 2020. It is an eclectic mix of poetry and short stories that address the subjects of loss, struggle, human behaviour, and environment. Many pieces are humorous and lighthearted with illustrations.

I am currently running a funding campaign on Indiegogo. To support this independent author, visit my website at www.linesbyleon.com or https://igg.me/at/linesbyleon. Lines by Leon: Poems, Prose, and Pictures is also available at most online retailers.

First reviews are in! A couple of 5*’s on Goodreads. Thank you!

Debut book, "A Vampyre's Daughter,"
$0.99 on Amazon!--Or, if you're a Kindle Unlimited member... it's FREE!

"A troubled Army vet wishes he were dead...
A lonely vampyre wishes she were human...
And a ruthless drug lord wishes he were immortal..."

Not your typical vampire book, with a twist on a tired genre. It's a love story with action, gore, gun mayhem, nerdy humor, and a little sex. Getting great reviews. Whatcha got to lose for a buck?

The Poinciana Tree

This story is set around the beautiful Poinciana tree, with its amazing red flowers.

Suzanne Matthews arrives home from work to find the kitchen in disarray and her daughter missing. After searching the house, her eyes turn towards the garden, drawn to the Poinciana tree. Underneath its canopy she sees her daughter, slumped against its trunk.

When the police are unable to identify Jennifer’s killer, they turn their attention to her husband, Mark. Whilst trying to cope with her grief, she finds herself fighting to prove her husband’s innocence, as her world is turned upside down. She is inspired by another woman, who went with her husband to the Sudan as medical volunteers for a charity organisation.

The short literary fiction, The Thirst, will be available to download for free for the next two days. It's originally a Uni project, and was deemed by Mark Peart, the English Professor at the University of Sydney as having “great capacity for complex writing skills in storytelling and description.”

Book link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B086J9KPQC

Here's the synopsis:

Kyousuke was craving. He had been working for fifteen years without leave; working was his second nature. He had forgotten what it felt like to have a happy marriage, a happy family, a happy life. He had forgotten how to live. But there was one thing he would never forget.

Alcohol.

To get away from everything, the man fell back to his daily routine: getting dead drunk. As he did, the memory of his past came to haunt him. Would he ever find a way out?

'The Thirst' is literary fiction done right, a well-written short story that highlights a potentially life-changing moment in the middle of a path to destruction. A very short, but guaranteed satisfying read.

Here's an excerpt if you're interested:

"It was Osaka, the city where it was easy to lie half-dead on the street, but difficult to smile to strangers. It was the city of rowdy young girls in their anime costumes, of hanging lanterns drenched in the smell of Dotonbori sake and all-night partygoers, of dust specking a book in an antique shop while the owner tried to finish it without having any page falling off. It was the city of public shaming for not having your bag matching your shoes, of shut-ins of thirty years claiming human connection was overrated, of long hours and no extra pay, of Kamagasaki's cheap internet cafes and flophouses with no permanent address where the homeless people stay in.

He looked up to the sky. Kyousuke hadn’t been able to see the stars from Nagahori Street since the skyscrapers sprouted from Osaka Business Park. It had been twenty years since then; so many things had changed. If one wished to see the stars, they could just easily take the subway to the Floating Garden Observatory. But wasn't it better if a man was given a choice?

In a split second, Kyousuke decided what he would do tonight. He started craving; there was no time to waste."

Hi folks,
I'm asking for reviews on my newly released historic action/adventure The Calling of Amos Puckett.

Amos Puckett, an orphaned Florida farmboy, grows up to be a protestant missionary in late 19th century Cuba, a Spanish Catholic Colony. Unconsciously following in his father’s footsteps, he encounters a series of potentially fatal experiences and learns to use a natural gift, an interest in herbal medicine, to heal the bodies and souls of others. His defeats teach him about winning and losing, and about his faith. His wins teach him that God is in control. At times, he feels he is the biggest sinner of all. At times, he hangs by a thread and prays for an end to the diseases that cause "his people", including his loved ones to suffer and die. Will putting feet to his prayers help end the disease he dreads?

"An incredibly well-written book that will take the reader on an adventure they won't soon forget." nnlightsbookheaven.com

I truly appreciate any and all reviews. Please contact me at cpolk625@gmail.com if you would like a free eBook for review.

"Drowned Beneath a Bleeding Sky" by Mark Comstock.
It will be Free at Amazon November 29th-December 1st

It is a novel that was just released September 14th. It follows the main character, Roger. He lives in a decrepit area, within which he can find nothing good or a worthwhile way to spend his hours. All time seems meaningless, empty and utterly pointless. He drinks his days away. One night, he encounters a very mysterious woman. That's where things get weird. He cannot say for sure if the woman is actually real or if he is only imagining her in his mind. Events, after that point, grow increasingly more bizarre.

What are you to do when reality unravels and you can no longer tell what is real and what is not or what to believe because everything seems too impossible to be true? $0.99 or get it with Kindleinlimited.

Hello!

My name is M.O. LeClair. Nice to "meet" you all!

My first book 'Concrete Jungle' is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The release date is September 4th, 2021. It's a suspense/thriller/mystery book.

You can visit the library at my official website if you'd like to read some at: www.rwavp.com

Here's the Amazon pre-order link: www.amazon.ca/dp/B08KGQSFWS and the book trailer link is here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fVKZmiCGcE

Here's the book jacket description:

When Nylah Diamond, a young psychiatry student, becomes aware of a new case study, she becomes obsessed with it; something about it intrigues her.

She wants to know about every detail, every statement, every piece of evidence and everyone involved.

...someone else wants it left in the past...

She becomes determined to help piece together everything that has seemingly been hidden and scattered everywhere for so long...

...things that were meant to stay scattered and hidden. Something doesn't make sense.

Some things from childhood, they stick with you, forever. Small things, big things, what seem like such insignificant things; change things. Change people.

...and if "Dr" Diamond doesn't let sleeping dogs lie, she may be the next to get bitten.

All of the things you think don't matter, matter most. What you think matters most, may mean nothing at all. People are animals. Savages. It's a concrete jungle out there, and even something as small as a snake in the grass, or a spider in a tree, can take down a lion; the king of the jungle.

I can't wait to chat with everyone. Have a wonderful day!

Hi Ya Peeps. Got a strange one for ya:

Even Jimmy Hoffa wouldn’t have believed that the ghost realm could have been unionized.

The League of Paranormal Cooperation and Studies is nearly 300 years old. It’s run by a clandestine organization deep from within the bowels of Homeland Security. According to the Declaration of Codependence drafted by the clergy in 1634, ghosts are restricted from committing wanton acts of property damage, trespass, and psychological or physical harm to humans. They are quarantined in district wards under the umbrella of the United States Guild. These facilities number in the thousands and go by the front name D.I. Foster Care and Adoption, better know as Dispossessed Incorporated.

Remy Hargitay and his wife, Phaedra, are sterile. Their fondest wish is to hold a loving child in their arms before the stress threatens to torpedo their marriage. Fortified with a ferocious resolve (and a fringe hangover) Remy visits the D.I. Foster Care and Adoption Agency to pick up an application. Only he brings home more than an application. He’s duped into signing a contract that enlists him as a “Guardian”, shackling him to three mischievous ghosts—a Chicago gangster, a New York prostitute, and a drug-crazed hippie. Unknowingly, Remy has just been recruited into Dispossessed Incorporated. His mission: hitch a ride “downstream” in time with each subject and perform a “death-stop” intervention. If he fulfills the contract, he will be awarded the foster child of his choice. Yet, the consequences just might change the history of mankind forever.

But Remy is unaware of how many times he and his wife will have to lay their lives on the line for the sake of the missions. Nobody told him that it was normal to die tragically during an intervention, only to be resurrected by something called a Dark Herald. And, really, someone forgot to tell him that performing the three “death-stops” would alter and impact the future timeline of all humankind in a way that Remy never expected.

But when the agency murders his wife, forcing him to perform a death-stop on her, all bets are off!

“Diary of a Man Who Set Out to Prove the Earth is Flat (And Other Stories)” is a book of short stories. Each story deals with an example of corruption, hypocrisy, delusion or insanity, and usually all of the above to some degree. The opening story is a satire of flat earthers and is about an explorer who embarks on a voyage to confirm to the world his conviction that he knows to be true. The expedition goes rather poorly. The other stories are, “The Church Of The Resurrection Inc.”, “The Persarius Experiment”, “Three 10 Minute Plays About Donald J.erkass Drumpf” which are three plays that give a much deserved send off to Donald Trump’s disgraceful, embarrassing fiasco of a presidency, and the final story is, “Exploring the Mysteries of Space: You Might Not Like What You Find”, a story about alien life being discovered where the reality of the life form that is found is not what anyone could have expected. All stories are presented humorously, and the humor can be quite dark. Though all stories don’t focus directly on current events, the book seeks to capture the essence of the calamity and absurdity and abject, inconceivable irrationality and disturbing stupidity of the present day. Strange days, that they most definitely are. $0.99 at Amazon. Also available with KindleUnlimited.

Hi everyone,

The ebook for my new sci-fi/mystery novel is now out.

Here's the blurb:

MUNKi

The winter her grandfather died, Cari Silvestri swapped her home town for a new life. But the past is not so easily outrun. Almost ten years on, Grandfather returns, his stolen memories repackaged by technology giant Merrywhile Industries as a slick marketing promo for their latest project: digital immortality. But when no one believes her, Cari’s search for proof and answers gradually draws her into a lawless digital underworld.

Mel Faith is also haunted by the past. Her journalistic career circling the drain, she finds herself still obsessed with the one piece she never filed – the tragic history of Michael Sommeil, grandson of Merrywhile’s founder. It’s a story with few leads and fewer prospects, but at whose heart – she’s sure – a secret still sits untold.

As their paths intertwine, the two women enter a world of masks and aliases, of mercenary hackers and corporate spies, and where, underlying it all, is the hunt for the Singularity – the point, both feared and hoped for, where AI will finally surpass human understanding, and nothing will ever again be the same.

A sci-fi novel set in the near future, MUNKi is an intricate cybergothic fairy tale, a philosophical exploration of memory, death and identity, and the ambiguous role that technology has come to play in all our lives.

Hello new author here. I just recently had published a book of poems and short stories. The title of my book is called Teardrops on the Petals .It consist of short stories and poems. Topics cover love , erotic love, poverty , substance abuse, youth and gun violence, some poems are even religious. One of the short stories centers around an abusive, neglectful mother and how her behaviours effect her daughter and son.The other short story symbolizes beauty in being a misfit or rather not fitting into the so called category of not being conventional, normal , or status quo and how sometimes people can have cruel reactions to something that is different or new

Wayne Dean’s new book “Untold Stories Him and Her” is currently available online. The book highlights relationship crises and sometimes dives deep into both men's and women's thoughts and actions. It gives a vibrant and raw picture of gender encounters and our perceptions. Hi! My name is Tamar Tremaine. I just published a book of funny dating stories called Salty Flames. It's available here:

https://www.amazon.com/Salty-Flames-Tales-Modern-Dating/dp/195355511X/ref=tmm_hr...

It's technically non-fiction, but every time I'm required to pick a category I'm unsure where to place it. It reads like a fiction, and it's not as steamy as most romance novels. It's more humorous/ lighthearted. Book blurb below in case you're interested :).

ARE YOU FEELING ALONE IN THE LAND OF HAPPY COUPLES?
Afraid to download a dating app? Nervous to go on a first date? Curious what online dating is like? Upset that you're never "the one?" Too many duds and not enough studs? You are far from alone...

TAMAR TREMAINE has gone on hundreds of first dates and chatted online with thousands of men over the last ten years. On a few occasions, she has even gone on as many as three dates in one day. (Not recommended.) According to Malcolm Gladwell, author of Outliers, it takes 10,000 hours and approximately ten years to become an expert. Tamar has easily spent 10,000 hours swiping, going on dates, and staring at her phone waiting for that cute guy to text her back. However, this book is not "Tamar Tremaine: Expert in Online Dating." This book is for you. Through a series of highly relatable short stories, Tamar reveals her crazy dating history. From in-person dating, to online dating, to quarantine dating, Tamar inspires readers to keep trying, download that app, and go on that date. After all, there's usually a good story in the end!

Hello,
My first book Iron Bones: Infection, is out now. I turned everything I liked into my first novella. For years, I have been homebrewing beer, wine, and mead. I'm a beer geek. I'm always down for books or movies involving horror and zombies. As a teenager, I played guitar and bass and wanted to be in a rock band.
I never made it past jamming in the garage.
Frank and Steve open a brewery next to a government building Tulip Ridge. An explosion at Tulip Ridge causes the workers to turn into slow-moving gray-skinned zombies or grays. The grays have a desire to eat human flesh. A band is auditioning at the brewery for opening night. The band, with Frank and Steve, are now running for their lives.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

Hi Everyone - and Happy New Year!

I've a new little story out - "Content Provider". Here's the blurb:

His memory is not what it was, it’s true – sometimes, it seems, he forgets things. But writing a whole book? Who would forget that?

But there are even reviews of it. In fact, two – no, three of them. And no one – not the book review sites, nor his publisher, nor even his wife – seems in the least bit concerned. Is he going crazy, then? Or is something else going on?

But the next one is already overdue, and though each day the screen stares blankly back at him, he must push on. For it’s not like this book is going to write itself – is it?

Content Provider is a satirical insight into the life of the jobbing writer, the enduring mysteries of married life, and what happens to our thoughts when there’s no one there to think them.

Hi, looking for reviewers for my fantasy heist novel, "The Seventh Star," which I just published this week! I can send a free ebook copy, and would greatly appreciate Amazon reviews in exchange :)

Contact me at mbluejay9@gmail.com if interested. Thank you!
Maya Bose

Here's the description:
The Seventh Star is the type of jewel that cannot help but attract unwanted attention. More legend than fact, the ancient world-ending diamond has always beckoned to those who are brave, desperate, and greedy. But things have changed since ancient times—war looms on the horizon, and the rulers of the world have never felt more desperate.

Beautiful, arrogant, and without a conscience, Queen Calypso al-Jabri is the most powerful magician in the archipelago. Her only problem is that she is dying of a painful disease that eventually claims the lives of all magic users, and her efforts to hide this one weakness are slowly crumbling. She needs a miracle—and what better miracle exists than the Seventh Star?

Greed is the only language Lilja Sigurv knows. Robbed of the ability to speak or write, she ignores her hunger for a better life and survives as a contortionist thief. Her dangerous line of work carries her into the path of Raphael Gilsson, a corrupt politician who has recently lost everything: his estate, reputation, and fortune—and fully intends on stealing it all back. Together, they devise a crazed diamond heist that promises to solve all of their problems.

However, the Seventh Star is only one mere jewel, and they are not the only ones after this mythical prize. Amid a tangle of ulterior motives and political intrigue, desperation quickly gives way to betrayal—and ultimately murder.

KIds will love Snids. And so will parents and grandparents. For Snids are silly, pesty creators of mischief and mayhem wherever they go. Lookout! Lookout! Snids Are Out in New York City, is an illustrated children's book filled with laugh-a-loud humor.

I just self-published my first book in a series of three. It is in a nitch category of Christian Scienfiction. The plot is an alternative armageddon to the world as a device in TV's causes the mind to become warped and forget technology. Only those who did not watch TV are safe. The safe ones are attempting to guide society back to technology while fighting the mercenary's who are looking for domination of the population.

It is available on Amazon as a book or on kindle. Would love to get a review as I am a first-time author. Warning there are some spelling and other editing errors as I self-edited and I am dyslexic so some stuff slipped through. Still quite readable. Thanks for any input.
The name is "In Search of New Hope" (Book 2 will be Hope Lost and Book three is Hope restored)

I've just released The Sapphire Solution, a fantasy of manners in a steampunk world. It's available in the Kindle store (including on Kindle Unlimited) at: https://books2read.com/mhthaung12

A disgruntled young chemist. A reformed noble thief. A cranky, middle-aged lord. What could possibly go wrong?

Apprentice chemist Iggy's uncle won't sign her off as competent, even though he trusts her with Project Sapphire: researching a formula to erase forensic evidence. When she finds an alternative route to sign-off, she applies her energy to that, neglecting her assigned duties to do so. In a stroke of luck, this decision leads her to a sponsorship deal, but her benefactor has secrets she's unaware of.

After his recent adventure abroad, Lord Richard Hayes is now home: and on probation to keep his seat on the Council of Lords. He has plentiful funds, detailed instructions and a boring plan for honest living, but despite his efforts to fit in, everything starts to go wrong. He loses his only household servant, he antagonises a young chemist the first time he meets her, and he gets blamed for a burglary he didn't even do. The only bright spot is that making new enemies keeps life from being completely dull.

Stiff-necked Lord Huntley Angus detests frivolous young nobles who dodge responsibility for their actions. But when he secretly pawns his wife's jewellery to pay an unexpected debt, he gets entangled in a spiralling set of misfortunes.

The Sapphire Solution is an immediate sequel to my steampunk romp The Diamond Device, which is currently a Semifinalist in the 2022 Self-Published Science Fiction Contest. To mark the book release, I'm running a promotion on The Diamond Device for the next week. You can get it here: https://books2read.com/mhthaung11

Today's the DAY!

Death. It comes for us all. That's this life's guarantee. The questions are always how, why, and when. What happens afterwards, either for those who passed or those who remain? Or does anything happen? This collection of stories explores those questions.

Ebook is available through Amazon, Apple, Kobo, Barnes and Noble, and Smashwords. Gardners just got the file so they'll have it soon.

For those that might want a physical copy instead of an ebook - Barnes and Noble does have it to order.

If you want to check it out from the library to read it -- Overdrive/Libby has the ebook, but it will depend on the library set up on if its immediately available or needs to be requested to be purchased.

It should also be available through Tolino, Bibliotheca, Baker and Taylor, Odilo, Vivlio, and Borrow Box.

I'm still waiting for news from Scribd, Palace Marketplace, and Hoopla Digital. I'm told they have a long lead time for acceptance.

Feel free to share this link to people you think might want to read it.
(I'm prepared for the 1 star reviews. Let em come.)

Submitting an Early Reviewer offer around January 2023 for the novella Sex with Jesus escaped my attention during all of the other creating/publishing/marketing activities I was trying to accomplish. Still working on the marketing/blurbing/reviewing (requesting) stage.

There is possibly one free library option from this list: https://books2read.com/u/4D6KZ7
