The room was packed for that presentation, and several tech-savvy questions were asked and answered after the author's presentation ended. One ARC that made me go "ooohh!" -- Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho.

MANY blurbs on the cover, but the first one I saw was from Naomi Novik, whose Temeraire series I really enjoy, describing the book as Georgette Heyer meets Susanna Clarke. Sold.

Bought a Doctor Who T-shirt because it got me a free Tardis keychain. Picked up on impulse the same day The Scientific Secrets of Doctor Who by Simon Guerrier and Dr. Marek Kukula.

Also brought home an ARC: _Superforecasting: The Art and Science of Prediction_ by Philip E. Tetlock and Dan Gardner.
