This demo-cat is running for president:

I'm sure he can't be as bad as some of the other candidates and is probably a good deal better than many.

I just am giggling at his name. I had a cat as a child whose tail had been run over and his name was Buttonbutt.

But he's not old enough... is he?

Depends on if you accept the "cat year" methodology of ascertaining his age.

I think if he is 5 (that's what the article states) and that equates to 35 human years then we should be golden!

On the topic of cat age vs human age, I read somewhere that in terms of development (most mammals spend a smaller part of their lives as juveniles than humans do), it makes most sense to translate a cat's first year to 15 human years, the second year to nine human years, and every additional year after that as four years. A two-year-old cat is an adult, whereas a fourteen-year-old human is still a child.

Hm, that does make sense, and in that methodology Mr Limberbutt would be 15+9+4+4+4 = 34. Not quite old enough if the cutoff is 35, unless he is closer to 6 than 5.

My 19 year old Mocha would be 24 + (17*4) = 92. Yeah, that sounds about right!

15+9+4+4+4 is actually 36 ;)

I'm wondering who his running mate should be. Any suggestions?

Perhaps Mick E Mouse?

I love the first comment from InheritTheWindow:

"His chief complaint is that he's constantly hounded by political watchdogs."
