To be honest, after reading the new book I was thinking it would make a fun reread, but I also think this might be a good time for one of Foggi and K's famous polls.

ETA: Finish thoughts bib! There are plenty of other series that I also think would be fun to discuss. I would say LotR, but I think Green Dragon just finished or is in the middle or something. Thursday Next could be fun....other suggestions?

I don't think the Green Dragon has done a LotR reread. They did The Hobbit a while back.

Here's a thought, guys . . .

As we're planning our meet-up in December 2010, would anyone like to do another Harry Potter series reread and discussion? I was thinking that this time we might just do a single thread for each book, and read one book a month (starting in May, perhaps?) so the books will be fresh in mind for the meet-up at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park.

Also, the movie of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (part I) is slated to come out in November, and I (and probably some of you, as well) will be rereading the first six books prior to that, so we might as well have discussion threads. I know we have a lot of new members since we did our last discussion in 2007-2008, and I thought a new discussion would be nice. What say you all?

I would love a group reread! I wasn't around for the first discussion and I am planning on rereading all the series before the movie, so I am up for it! The only problem is that I may want to devour the whole series and not just one each month :P...

I'm in too. I'm always up for discussing my favorite books with others!

We should think about rereading in 2013. It's been a long time...

I think so, but I can't remember either. Looking at the second CoS thread, there were only six posts, and three of them were by me. I'd love to do a series reread in 2013 (I was just thinking that I hadn't reread the series in over a year), especially if there are others who are interested in participating.

ETA: Looking at my tags, I know I reread the rest of the series in 2010 at about the rate of one per month, but I can't remember if we had discussion threads or not. If we did, I ought to go back and link them here. I'll edit the top message for now so it doesn't say that the discussion is currently happening. :-)

More like a discussion board or forum. There aren't always people around to chat in real time, but you can post on threads that interest you and check back later to see who's replied. Welcome!
