Does anyone know if these two writers and illustrators are related? Their careers just about overlapped, they both lived and were educated in South London/Surrey, had rather similar styles and both worked for Medici.

>according to Wikipedia, Margaret Tarrant (1888-1959) never married, so Audrey who I'm guessing was born in the late 30s, since she started illustrating post cards in 1956, couldn't have been Margaret's granddaughter. wikipedia: Tarrant never married, but made many loyal and enduring friends, both through her painting and her church membership.3 Much of her life centred on the activities of her parish church. She helped arrange sales of work for the Church Missionary Society and at one time provided her car and acted as driver for the Vicar, who had no car of his own.4: 9  Her health and eyesight deteriorated notably in 1953, and by 1958 she felt too unwell to run her home in Peaslake, and joined fellow illustrator Molly Brett in Cornwall in 1958. However she was very ill by this time and spent several months in hospital. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Tarrant)

so Audrey . . . couldn't have been Margaret's granddaughter.

Also Margaret was an only child, according to Wikipedia, so Audrey couldn't be a niece or grand-niece. But perhaps a cousin of some sort?

I'd forgotten about my old post. A quick look on Ancestry showed me Margaret's father, Percy (1855-1934) who was, apparently, a well-known landscape artist and also a book illustrator. He died in Bethlem Hospital (a psychiatric hospital) in London. He was the son of Alfred Tarrant (1819-1877), a printmaker, and had one brother, Owen (1851-1914) who emigrated to Australia so not very likely to be directly related to Audrey. Alfred had three male siblings to pass on the Tarrant name but I found no reference to an Audrey in their descendants. Tarrant could, of course, be Audrey's married name.
