We are glad to have joined this group. We are active in our synagogue and over the past few years have begun a collection of Jewish books, including a number of children's books.

The group name sounds good to me :) Thanks for making the group. I have quite a few books that fit this catagory. Hope to have some interesting conversations and find out about some other titles here. If I can get my TBR pile lower that is! ;)

edenrob,

My favorite children's book of all time is called Something from Nothing by Pheobe Gilman?. It's in my catalogue under the 'Jewish' tag. You must get it if you don't have it yet, it's so clever. There is a tiny mouse story running similtaneously at the bottom the page as you read the main story. It's a lovely story. A must have :)

I just joined your group because the name "Judaica" attracted me!

My last Judaica read was Let it be Morning by Sayed Kashua. I can't give high enough praise to this author who is an Israeli Arab who works as a journaist for Israel's Ha'aretz newspaper. This is his second novel. His first was Dancing Arabs. I'd suggest reading them in the order in which they were written. They both give voice to the feeling of what it's like for an Arab to live within the state of Israel. The books are both very well done and most likely have an autobiographical basis.
