Please share what you all are reading! Read-alouds, assigned readings, and books for pleasure.

We are going to tackle the following read-alouds this month:

Inkheart and Inkspell by Cornelia Funke (I previewed the former a few months ago so we've been waiting for an "opening" to read it aloud!)
Chasing Vermeer by Blue Balliett, and Rascal and Rabbit Hill for the younger ones.

We're trying to catch up in the Series of Unfortunate Events but I don't think we'll be ready when we pick up book 13 on the 13th. LOL

Mom is reading some mysteries/thrillers for pleasure along with The Thirteenth Tale and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.

I'll have to raid my husband's nightstand to find out what he's into. :o)

It's November but what the heck :o)

My five year old and I have been reading the Ramona books by Beverly Cleary. We're on Ramona the Brave. We took a break before this one and read Jacob Two-Two and the Hooded Fang by Mordecai Richler. My two year old likes to listen in as well.

I'm finishing up Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi. Next will be either American Gods by Neil Gaiman, The Trouble with Islam Today by Irshad Manji or I Am The Messenger by Mark Zusak. I want to read all three this month for various book clubs. *gulp*

My husband has been intermittantly rereading the Narnia books. We both want to reread them before we get the movie to watch. With all the other books to read, I don't know if it's going to happen on my part!
