Pendle Hill, a Quaker study, retreat, and conference center in Wallingford, PA, needs to add all of its books to an online catalog. Some volunteers have started on the project, but we need more help. With your assistance, we could accomplish a great deal in one day. We use LibraryThing to manage our collection, so all that we'll need to do is look up each book in LibraryThing, add it to our collection, and record the call number, barcode, and location. Once you get the hang of it, it only takes a few minutes to add a book.
Volunteers are invited to come and go any time between 9am and 5pm; you don't need to commit to the entire day. Volunteers are asked to RSVP so that we can get a count for light refreshments and power strips. You can fill out the RSVP form here: https://goo.gl/forms/yQlD3JCIoyiKgLw63. If you're planning to stay for a long stretch, you may wish to bring a cold lunch with you.
Directions to Pendle Hill are available on their site: https://pendlehill.org/directions. Please note that the courtesy shuttle mentioned on the site is meant for their overnight guests only. We'll be meeting in the Firbank Library, and they will have signs on site pointing you to the correct building.
