I know there are more anthologies out there (Graham Greene and Hugh Greene (eds.)'s The Spy's Bedside Book, for one, has been reprinted with an introduction by Stella Rimington, it seems), but I own only two.

The first is The Mammoth Book of Spy Thrillers, which despite the title actually consists of just three novels. Does anyone have information on its editor John Winwood? Or the novels and authors that make up this volume? I'm only familiar with the first one on the list.

The Great Impersonation by E. Phillips Oppenheim
The Naked Runner by Francis Clifford
The Heights of Rimring by Duff Hart-Davis

The second is The Mammoth Book of Short Spy Novels, though the edition I have actually drops one story from the original publication--"Dealers in Doom" by William E. Barrett. Is that any good? Is it worth buying another edition of this anthology that contains "Dealers in Doom"?

What it does contain are the following novellas, not all of which I've read:

"The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans" by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
"The Traitor" by W. Somerset Maugham
"Tokyo, 1941" by Cornell Woolrich
"The Sizzling Saboteur" by Leslie Charteris
"The Danger Zone" by Erle Stanley Gardner
"Betrayed" by John D. MacDonald
"Deep-Sleep" by Bruce Cassiday
"The People of the Peacock" by Edward D. Hoch
"Dr. Sweetkill" by John Jakes
"The Giggle-Wrecker" by Peter O'Donnell
"The Spoilers" by Michael Gilbert
"Octopussy" by Ian Fleming
