Great work! You're doing very well! How was the Memoirs of a Canadian Doctor?

I found it very interesting. He started in Cape Breton in 1928 so he gives an overall picture of rural conditions through the 30s and 40s and talks about medical care without the then modern aids found in city hospitals. Transportation was always an issue, especially in the winter. Depending on conditions, he and his driver used their feet, horses, later a car with a snow blade hitched on - getting lost, often going across ice (and sometimes falling through).

Memoirs of a Canadian Doctor looks interesting. Did the doctor go all over Cape Breton or was he based in one area?

One more from the pre-2018 TBR pile recently. It's still pretty high and 2019 is coming.
