Book cover with a Mise en abyme (aka the Droste effect)

The Droste effect, known in art as mise en abyme, is the effect of a picture recursively appearing within itself, in a place where a similar picture would realistically be expected to appear.
I remember this type of gag was used on the cover of a Mad magazine, where Alfred E. Neuman (Mad's cover boy) was illustrated reading the very issue that he was on the cover of.
