Anyone else have this? I spent enough time dropping very usubtle hints to my better half, and found this under the tree!
As I slowly but surely make my way through this set, it strikes me that in it's own way, TZ presented some of the best "ghost-like" stories ever put on TV. Just like the best ghost stories are at their best in the short story form, the greatest, scariest TZ episodes are 1/2 hours. It's almost painful to watch the writers, etc., trying to stretch some stories to an hour.
The black and white helps also - "The After Hours" and "Long Distance Call" (among others) scared the crap out of me as a little kid; not grossed out, but genuinely creeped out. I still can't watch too many at a time, esp. at night!
