Hope I'm not simply discoloring your thread with silly comments, but that is another terrific list of titles that leaves a lot to wonder about... like the book by David Valeta - fun reading, or painful dry commentary?

No worries. The Valeta volume was good. He read the Daniel stories as a Menippean Satire, following the classification of Russian literary critic Mikhail Bakhtin.

In April, I increased my monthly read to 10. Various reasons for that, but it ticked up my pace to 102:

Just finished #50 today: Ludlum, Robert, The Bourne Supremacy (Bourne Trilogy No. 2). I'm ahead of pace for my goal of 100 in the year by two-thirds of a month.

In June, I read 9 books, bringing my total to 53, with a pace of 106. I need five months of 8 (40) and one month of 7 to reach 100.
