Friends:
Please forgive the lack of Touchstones this month. More than half of the new books didn't even have one.

I'm particularly joyful at another Ruth Galloway to read. I miss my old friend Cathbad...

>2 Sergeirocks: Me too. It seems that it's been a long time since we read one as a group.

Must get onto the Cal Donovan Series by Glenn Cooper.

Ben Kane books are always great reads so can’t wait for that one.

Also new books from Elly Griffiths, Jeffrey Deaver, Chris Carter, Kate Mosse, Scott Mariani, Linda Castillo to look forward to.

But one most looking forward to is the new Roy Grace Series by Peter James.

Plenty of books this month!

So I am a huge Mathew Betley fan, especially after meeting him last year. Such a nice guy. I also read Peter James and Linda Castillo. Just FYI. Lol

>7 ColinMichaelFelix: Mathew Betley isn’t someone I’ve heard of. I will have to search him out.

>7 ColinMichaelFelix: >8 Andrew-theQM: I figured that we all probably read some of the authors that others read but wasn't on our list. I try some of the ones that weren't on my list. I figured that if my friends like them I'll give them a try.

I'm all in for Gathering of Secrets. I have it preordered from Audible, and of course I can't wait for Dead at First Sight.

I might check out the new Owen Laukkanen series, but I wish he would go back to the Stevens and Windemere stories. His last new new book/series, Gale Force, was uninspiring. I might also check out the new Jeffrey Deaver. I had Lincoln Rhyme on my ignore list the last few years but it might be worth checking out a new character.

>11 Olivermagnus: What happened with the Lincoln Rhyme series, so far only read the first one?

>12 Andrew-theQM: - Nothing specific happened. I read several of the books and enjoyed them but eventually they all seemed the same to me. They may all be great reads, I just didn't want to read anymore. I have several authors whose series I enjoyed in the past, but just got tired of.......Patricia Cornwell, Patterson's Alex Cross, Stone Barrington by Stuart Woods, Stephanie Plum series.

The ebook revolution has given us so many great new authors that I just have to cut out a few. My Goodreads TBR has 1300 books on it and I add more every month!

>8 Andrew-theQM: Mathew Betley is in the vein of the Brads (Thor and Taylor), Ben Coes and the late great Vince Flynn. If you liked any of them you should definitely give him a try. I hadn't read him before meeting him at a book fair last year and just on the strength of his personality I gave him a read and haven't regretted it yet.

>12 Andrew-theQM: You should totally continue the Lincoln Rhyme series. I find Jefferey Deaver to be a very inventive author and I have not yet become jaded by the series. But interestingly I also still enjoy Alex Cross and Stone Barrington. Lol

>14 ColinMichaelFelix: In that case I need to read him, I love Vince Flynn books and Brad Thor. Not read Brad Taylor yet. Thanks for the information.

>15 ColinMichaelFelix: I wish Stuart Woods would tone down Stone Barrington's sex drive. He falls in bed with every woman he meets. Sometimes the entire story centers around his bedroom activities. I really like the new series featuring Teddy Fay. He just kills people with a great deal of creatively:)
