I didn't have an exactly stellar reading year: 25 books instead of my hoped-for fifty-or-so, but I also regret to say that most of them were e-books. The short list of actual tree books I read this year is as follows:
"Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies Inside a Silicon Valley Start-up" by John Carreyrou
"The Lost Painting" by Jonathan Carr
"Travels with my Aunt" by Graham Greene
I also read the following books switching between their e-book and paper copies:
"The Secret Agent" Joseph Conrad"
"Lady Chatterley's Lover" by D.H. Lawrence
"Rebecca" by Daphne Du Maurier"
So not a great haul. But two of these were read in December, so who knows what the new year holds? I'm off to join 2020 ROOTS and already have my eye on a paper copy (first edition, second printing) of Jeffrey Eugenides's "The Virgin Suicides" Wish me luck.
