When doing a LT search, when results include Wiki/Help, click on help and this error comes up: "Unexpected token F in JSON at position 0" If there are no results in Wiki/Help then I can click from section to section (Works/Authors/Tags/Help...) with no errors, but if there are any results I get this message. Also never loads the Help/Wiki page just spins forever. Has been occurring for a while now (couple of weeks?) and I recently cleared my cashe, using Chrome V 79.0.3945.117 on a Mac.

Confirmed. Ubuntu/firefox, so it is not a browser issue, methinks.
I searched for "wiki" in the search box, getting:
http://www.librarything.com/search.php?search=wiki&searchtype=newwork_titles...
This shows 581 hits in the Wiki section, but clicking on the number gives a pop-up with:
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

My message is
SyntaxError: JSON Parse error: Unexpected identifier "Failure"
Safari on iOs 12.2
It's very frustrating to see that there are lots of hits, but not to be able to see them.

This is a known issue I've reported to the developers, hopefully they'll be able to get a fix in for this soon. Thanks for the official report!

Bump. I somehow didn't see this original report when I came across the bug, though the message I'm getting is subtly different. Here's my report:
If you do a site search for "wikithing search", then click the link on the left for "Wiki/Help" you get an error message: "SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data"

Interesting in how there are variations in the error message. By user? The message I receive is what was reported in January: "Unexpected token F in JSON at position 0".
Update: On a mobile device, I see the "position 0 "wording. On a desktop computer, the message for me is "SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data".

I'm also getting the same as in January. (>3 MarthaJeanne:)

I'm getting the same error. "SyntaxError: Unexpected token F in JSON at position 0" when clicking on WikiHelp, which calls "newSearch('wikithing', 1). The error is caused by the first "F" in the response "Failure to select database (3wkt)" if that helps any developer.

We are looking into this. It's a physical computer issue. As in, that stuff is now on a completely different computer in a new location. It's walled off from LT.com computers for a reason (security) so we have some decisions to make about how we connect the two. But we're working on it.
