This month, I've got Tropic of the Sea by Satoshi Kon, some more Astro City, and Tillie Walden's On a Sunbeam.

What about you, anything good?

I've finished Black Hammer. Well... IMHO, it was like Lost. Super concept, but when it got to the tying...
But I still recommend it because it is a good ride.

I've read Billy Budd, KGB, and what a spectacular book. It is a Spy Novel like Ken Follet's (with at least one scene levelled from one of his books) and Great Art by François Boucq. 2 thumbs up.

I am reading Sherlock Time by Hector German Oesterheld and illustrated by Alberto Breccia. This is their first collaboration, with a more classic style, higly influenced by Alex Raymond's Rip Kirby. It is a bliss to the eyes.

I impulsively bought a Humble Bundle this week, so I'll be reading many digital Image comics in the weeks to come, starting with Curse Words, Vol. 1. (Has anyone read Copra, Invincible, or Stray Bullets before? They're in the bundle, but I'm not familiar with them.)

>6 Euryale:
The first 4 books of Invincible (which comprehend #1 to 19) are pure gold! It is for those who long for the golden years of Lee/ Ditko's Spiderman and the Wolfman's Essential Nova.

I've finished reading The Collector by Toppi and I can only say is that it is unfair to the whole comic industry that this man had all this talent. The art is stunning, the storytelling is compelling and the story is intriguing. It is a total 5 stars, hands down.
The Archaia editions are must have.

I've been slowly reading Crisis on Infinite Earths Companion Deluxe Edition Vol. 1 and it is more fun than I thought. This first volume is mainly a collection of the latest issues of All-Star Squadron before it was erased after the Crisis. Roy Thomas pours all his love of Golden Age over these last issues, making his famous connections and retcons, which were totally unnecessaries, once "That Universe" would be erased anyway. But it is like a mission, which he accomplished. There are some delightful moments, like when it is presented a splash page with all Fawcett heroes, one of the Thomas obssesions.
Well, it is good, but mainly targeted for those people who like 80's comics and nostalgia.

I've finished reading The Art of Jim Starlin. There isn't enough original art in it (mostly there are scanned pages of some comics and some blown-up panels, which are a real let down), but the text saves the book. You can't count it as a real art book due to the previously written info, but Starlin wrote what would be a long interview/ reminiscencies in which he tells some very interesting behind-the-scenes stories that explain his comings and going with Marvel, his Zenith and downfall with DC, his creator-owned adevntures and his art relantionship with Ron Lim, which is amazing for me (spoiler: no sketches were made!!!).

Well, that little fan in me liked very much this book, but I'd hardly recommend to someone to buy it (only for die-hard fans). But if you find it cheap or in your Library, pick it! For sure a real art book (like the ones from IDW) will be issued in the future.

I've been catching up with Terry Moore's work, post-Strangers In Paradise. In order of publishing history that's Echo, Rachel Rising, Motor Girl, and (currently in progress) Five Years. In fact, I've been reading his back catalog in order to better appreciate Five Years, which brings together characters from *all* of his series.

I love all of it, but find Rachel Rising (a horror series) the most tightly plotted and beautifully drawn. Moore is a great talent.

I'm re-reading the Alias series by Bendis and Gaydos. It is hands-down my favorite Marvel thing, next to Steve Gerber's Howard the Duck. (Yes, I like the outliers...)
