Tool area not on my Your Books page

I suspect this could be a dumb question, but when I go to my Your Books page, I'm not seeing the Tool area (Work, Detail, Set collections, Edit book, etc.) as described on the HelpThing:Your books page. Not sure why it isn't there, and I can't see any way to edit my books from the Your Books page without it...am I missing something?

Thanks for your help!

That’s very odd. I can see the Work and Detail in your catalog, and the rest should be next to those, but I don’t see them. I do in mine, so it’s obviously not a site-wide issue.

You might want to post this in the Bug Collectors group: https://www.librarything.com/groups/bugcollectors. Staff is more likely to see it there.

ETA: Okay, realized that I don't see them on >1 chriswebb:'s page because the "edit" and "collections" icons are only seen by the signed-in catalog owner. Duh.

Do you mean the ones at the right end? I see them - work, details and number of members with the book and number of reviews below.

Clicking on the title of the book will open the work page, from where you can edit. I actually never use the icons on right since opening it in a new tab by clicking on a title is easier

Many of the fields on Your Books are editable without the icons at the right that you mention.
All you do is double click on the field to open it, edit, then click save.

>1 chriswebb: Probably a stupid question, but I have to ask: how wide of a screen do you have? You're looking at as far-right as you can, I assume? I see them in your account, on my end (test-logged in).

Are you signed in?

Thanks, everyone, for your replies...I am signed in, and there is no scroll bar at the bottom of my Your Books page, so I think I must be looking as far-right as I can.

I'd like to have the Tool area so that I can Edit the Book from the Your Books page with one click...if I click on the title, I go to the Main Page for the item, and it's another click to get to Edit the Book.

Just to confirm - you are looking at https://www.librarything.com/catalog/chriswebb/yourlibrary or https://www.librarything.com/catalog/chriswebb/ and not some other link, right?

Do you see the far right menu when you look at someone else's library (mine for example: https://www.librarything.com/catalog/AnnieMod)?

What browser and OS are you using? I seem to be seeing them fine even on my phone but maybe there is a resolution issue somewhere?

BTW, looking at the main work page before editing lets you see the work title and author (at the bottom of the 'Your book information' box), which is a good check at least for newly added books.

I'm not saying you don't have a bug, just that that's an easy place to check that the book ended up where it belongs.

>7 chriswebb: Unless you are doing your editing on a tablet or phone, double click the title instead of single click. That would allow editing.
