I'm a mystery writer who has been publishing mysteries since the early 1990s. For much of that time, I was also an English professor, but have recently retired to devote more time to my writing career. My mysteries include the Cat Caliban series (soon to be reissued), the Gilda Liberty series, and the indie mysteries SMOKE and BAYOU CITY BURNING. I live with a cat named Zoe in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I garden, practice yoga and aikido, and read. After watching almost no television during the time that I was both teaching and writing, I'm now catching up with old British mystery series I missed.
