How to Pronounce Knife by Souvankham Thammavongsa
The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel
Agency by William Gibson
Nerve by Eva Holland

I haven't read any of them but I have the audiobook of The Glass Hotel and I was already planning on reading it just as soon as I finish my current listen. I also have ordered How to Pronounce Knife from my local bookstore and they just messaged me to say that it is on its way. And I have a copy from my library of Agency which fortunately came through before my library was closed down again (!)

So the only one I'm missing is Nerve which is a memoir about the science of fear. Has anyone read it? Would you recommend it? I have to admit it sounds interesting.

I see a William Gibson book! I've only read Neuromancer in college (a class on pop culture and literature) as an origin point for Cyber Punk. I've been thinking about reading some others. I guess I can look at that (along with the many other books I keep thinking about looking at. The Glass Hotel being another.)

>2 WeeTurtle: As it happens, I am listening to The Glass Hotel and reading Agency right now. I picked these out long before the list was published so it's just one of those book karma things. Agency is the second in a planned trilogy by Gibson so if you are thinking of reading it I would recommend you read the first one before you do so. It's called The Peripheral. The Glass Hotel seems worth of all the accolades so far.

>3 gypsysmom: Good to know! Thanks. :)

I'll probably check out Glass Hotel first, but likely after Ridgerunner since I was eyeballing that prior to the Giller Prize listings. I know it's a follow-up but it hasn't said if it's considered a sequel or not.

I have finished reading Agency by William Gibson and it really was fast-paced. Again, I recommend that anyone who hasn't read The Peripheral do so before reading Agency.
