bulk edit covers

I just uploaded a series of journals. I scanned all their covers (it's fairly obscure) and now need to add them to the records. Is there a way to do this without having to open every record individually? Thank you. I have several more series to go so I'm hoping there is an easy solution.

Also I am adding all the journals to a series page. The covers that I am slowly changing show up in the record but not in the series. How can I fix that? thanks for your help.

No bulk covers that I'm aware of. Each record would need to be opened.

Probably most efficient way is to open each journal in its own tab. That’s how I do cover edits.

Yep, it can only be done one at a time. But it can go pretty quick, especially for ones you already have digital cover images available for. Search your library for the journal name so you only see that journal's issues, on a grid view that includes the cover image column (not on the covers-only view that requires an extra click to do anything). Left-click on the first missing cover, middle-click (to open in new tab) the "change cover" link that appears for it, left-click on the next missing cover, etc. Once you have 10 or so issues' cover-change pages open in different browser tabs from that, go through and upload their covers. (Edit: And click that work's "recalculate cover" link after each one uploads.) Close those tabs as they're completed, refresh the catalog search results to see the new covers in place, and start opening a new set of tabs.

>5 nonob: Oh yes, that's another thing! I forgot to mention you need to click the "recalculate covers" link in the right-hand sidebar of each work after you upload the cover for it. Otherwise they tend to stay coverless at the work level that appears in the series pages.
