1. Fisher, Catherine - Clockwork Crow - 4 stars
Finally finished one of my previous Early Review books. Looking into it, I had read one of her previous series, Relic Master, which was quite good.
An orphan, Seren, is sent to a mysterious mainly empty house aside from some servants. On the way there, she is handed a mysterious package at the train station from a nervous man containing a moth eaten wind up toy crow. Throw in a missing child, and seems like a good start to a series. Suitable for about grades 2-4.

2. Redmond, E. S. - Bug Blonsky and His Swamp Scout Survival Guide - 4 Stars - Early Reviewer
Scout manual meets a kids chapter book. Each chapter gives one of the rules, and a couple page of a short incident illustrating that rule. Bugs and his friends are on a camping trip and must navigate through poison ivy, girls at a neighboring camp, and even Bigfoot! Cute illustrations highlight each page. Good for kids about age 8 - 10. The badges are fun, the stories are humorous. The only thing I wish it had was a bit more exposition so you knew who the characters were instead of just jumping right in.
