Stimulus checks have Americans in agreement, but we’re bitterly split on everything else ~
Alarming new data shows that nearly a third of Americans would support splitting country up into ‘regions.’

Five regions to be exact!

I wonder which people make up the core of this nearly a third???? The Trump-era cautionary tale continues to make major waves five years before America's 250th anniversary.

I'm still waiting for TX to secede. Promises, promises.

Doesn't the USA already have fifty regions, or "States" as you call them?

They appear to want the Confederacy back in the Deep South more than anything else. Suggesting five regions seems to be a cover for that actual aspiration, in my mind.

Unfortunately, I don’t think spitting up into regions by state would work. For example, in Washington state, the western half is very progressive but the eastern side is right wing. And in Virginia, the north near Washington DC is liberal but gets more conservative as you go south. What would happen is that west and east in Washington and the north and south in Virginia would be completely at odds with each other.

There is also disbursements of federal monies. Gov. Cuomo was complaining about it now and again throughout 2020--how certain states are givers--New York and others are takers--Kentucky, Florida for instance.
