Copy of LEC Quarto Millenary for sale, cheap

I have a copy of this wonderful bibliography that suffered some water damage from a leak in the roof. It has been replaced in my collection with a non-damaged copy.

The damage is limited to slipcase and binding, the text block being still intact. The damage is primarily cosmetic, with water-stains on the slipcase and the binding with some mold-stains as well (it was a while before I discovered the damage).

If you want a copy for reference and are not concerned with appearance, this copy could fill the bill. It would also make a great candidate for re-binding, either as a project of your own or for a binder of your choice.

I am asking $30 plus a modest shipping fee TBD later.

If interested, PM me.

Thank you.

Very worth having, even in the condition you describe as long as the contents are undamaged. A caveat: after getting mine many years ago and seeing some of the reproduction of illustrations in books I didn't have, I decided I needed to add them to my library.

I have had some LECs in similar (and even worse) condition, and it always amazed me how these books could have received received such cavalier treatment. It doesn't seem likely that the original owners were responsible, but who knows?

This book is an incredible reference and so beautifully and carefully produced. It is actually a delight to page through with so many specimen pages and illustration pages. Highlights for me were Dulac (Cupid and Psyche) and Derain (Salome) on facing pages and also Rackham (Wind in the Willows) and Z. Gay (Opium-Eater)* re-produced in identical quality to the original books Robert is right that it will probably spur expenditures!
* I only have the Heritage version of this book but someday...
