Happy Passover, Easter weekend, and in a few weeks, Ramadan and Ramayana! What 1001 books are you reading during this holiday-filled month?

I was thinking of going with The Last Temptation of Christ or Ben-Hur.

I am approaching #700 - I've got to plan something special.

I am reading The Waves for my #600, after which I'll move on to our group read.

A very appropriate book for the season, for those who haven't read it, would be Barabbas. I liked this one a lot. His encounter with the risen Lazarus really stays with me.

I'm making my way through Watchmen still.

I started Foe by J. M. Coetzee yesterday and I am really enjoying this different take on Robinson Crusoe.

I am almost done with Leaden Wings which is interesting if not astounding.

I've managed to distract myself from shiny new books long enough to read a handful of list books. Wise Children is dependably zany but also a little too much. Chocky was a good, but not earth-shattering read. And I finally got around to The Unknown Soldier.

I am finishing up (and enjoying) the group read, Heartbreak Tango.
I am also reading, and not really enjoying, The New York Trilogy. Maybe the second and third stories are better.
