default cover flagged as not a cover

I've been adding covers to some recent additions and discovered the LT provided blank cover I've been using as a default has been flagged as not a cover. I checked on some of my other books with the default cover and they all have the exact same number of flags from the same people. I've checked a few of the other blank covers and they don't have any flags. Anybody know what's going on?

I'm of two thoughts:
1) People thought this was an upload and not a LT default cover. (Until I honestly dug into the default covers, I thought that.) So I'll go back and remove my votes when I spot them. (Looking at your list, even an ADMIN didn't realize it was a default cover available.)
2) A cover was flagged before a separation/combination was done and it became a default cover which then gets voted on as the flagged cover (happens too often to believe, honestly.)
Though unless the vote is for a spam cover, the votes really don't do much of anything.
ETA: I've created a RSI to not allow default cover images to be flagged.

But... it's not a cover image. It's a generic image used in place of an actual cover.
Flagging it doesn't do any harm to your usage of it, it's not a judgement on you for using it, and it's not going to be removed because it's flagged.
I'm not sure that there is any effect from the flagging but I would like to think that it would prevent LibraryThing from choosing it as cover for the work, which seems like a good thing to me.

So I've just learned that LibraryThing supplied generic covers won't be chosen as the cover for a work, even if there are no other covers available at all.
There's no reason to flag a LibraryThing provided cover image as not a cover.

It currently has 2 "not a cover" votes and 7 against. I'm not bothered, since it's not a cover.
