Hello,
I finally grew weary of looking up all Newbery books by tag- and opted to create a separate collection- just for the Newbery's. I meticulously entered each book - in order of its award- 1922- 2021--- only to find afterward- that they appeared in the same jumbled order as they had appeared in my overall collection- ugh-.
Is there a way to place the collection in the order I should like for them to appear?
Thank You,
Egbertina

You can sort your catalogue by most columns. You could make the number you want to sort by the first tag. Or use Other Call number.
Please don't use all caps in the subject line. It's like shouting. I'm going to ignore this topic so Idon't have to look at it.

Christopher Columbus and all his ships at sea.
somebody just tag this and delete it. My apologies for inquiring. I wonder if C S Lewis and millions of authors knew/ know they are offending the universe when their titles are in caps.
I 'll just continue to struggle blindly

When looking at the page Your Books, you'll see an icon at the top that looks like two arrows, one points up, one points down. This is for establishing a sort. But this sort will be there for ALL views, and all collections. You can also just click on the column heading to get it to sort that way.
If you want to look at a collection just of your Newbery awards sorted by year of the award, having the first tag be the award year might do it. Then sort by title.
Also of option is to click on the award in the awards and honors field, which takes you to a list of books with the same award, where books you own should have check marks beside them. No sorting or collection needed. And these are sorted by year.

You do realise that is a single click don't you. In your catalogue view click on the tag and you just get those books with that tag.
Onto sorting as others have said there is a good sort available. You can sort by title (if you want them in title order), by author (if you want them by author) or by entry date, or whatever you want.

Looking at your catalogue for the Newberry collection I can say that they were entered out of order. I can see that The Whipping Boy (Newberry 1987) was entered on 2021-04-19 which was after When You Trap A Tiger (2021) which was entered on 2021-04-06
gilroy in msg 4 also gives some good tips.
You can either use a tag, or a comment, or a private comment and sort accordingly. Just add Newberry1987 (for example) as the first tag, comment or private comment.
