What You Learned About from Anime or Manga: Food

I know a bunch of members are bored. This is just something to do.

Question: What food items, food-related things, or dining etiquette did you learn about through anime or manga?

I first learned about okonomiyaki (what used to be called "Japanese pizza") through Ranma 1/2. Because of a surprising scene in the first Blue Exorcist anime, I looked up when and how to say "itadakimasu" and "gochisousamadesu".

That's all I'm remembering at the moment, but I'm sure there was more. How about you?

Ouran High School Host Club is the manga I remember most for food. I remember that, Haruhi*, the main character had a thing for giant tuna and that Tamake*, the other main character, had a weakness for what I remember as a "hot pot", but it was called something else in Japanese (I can't remember the word). It was something everyone gathered around to eat. It sounded quite interesting to me.

(I probably spelled the names of the characters wrong)

Also, Cardcaptor Sakura, both the anime and manga, taught me about giving thanks before eating (I can't remember the word/phrase off hand). I really liked that.
