Reading Anne to get through the Pandemic

I have turned to Anne to get through Covid. I just wanted a book that makes me happy. Anne does that for me. I have read all of the Anne books before but not like this. I finished Anne of Windy Poplars a couple of weeks ago. I haven't felt the need to pick up Anne's House of Dreams yet but probably will soon. I am reading other books, but when I get sad about our current world, I read some chapters of Anne. Is anyone else doing this as well?

I have not read the Anne books to get through Covid but I love this idea! Maybe I'll have to get my copies off the shelf and do a quick re-read :)

They'll make you smile. Picnics and Patty's Place and long walks with Diana bring a coziness. I feel like I have spent good times with friends.

I bought the Manga Classics: Anne of Green Gables adaptation awhile back and enjoyed it! The manga was authorized by Montgomery's estate. There are a few graphic novel adaptations of Anne of Green Gables available, however, I went with this particular version.
