Disambiguate Characters

Is there a way to disambiguate characters the way there is for book titles?

I have been entering the characters on the Common Knowledge page of the books I am reviewing. Any name in the list becomes a hyperlink to a page about the character, including which books they appear in, a description of the character, and a list of related characters. However, these pages merge together every character with the same name. This is desired when Luke Skywalker appears in 50 different Star Wars books, but it is inaccurate when it combines Old Pete from the Wraith Trilogy with a different character of the same name in The Antipope.

This error creates problems. If I describe the magical abilities of Old Pete (from Wriaith), the character description is inaccurate (and possibly confusing) for readers of Antipope. Likewise, many of the "related characters" actually have nothing to do with my character as they are from different books. Is there a way to separate multiple characters with the same name?

>1 AliciaBooks: Because of the way the system was originally designed, it isn't inaccurate, just a very clumsy UI.
But as >2 amanda4242: says, you should chime in on the listed thread.
