A new author is being created when creating a new book manually

Hello!

When I add a book manually, the system adds a new author, instead of add the new books to the existing author's profile.
I want to add a book to the system manually and write the author's name into the text input box. I write the same name, that exists in the database. After saving, the system creates a new author instead of adding the book to the existing author. How can I change this? I want to add the book to the existing author, not to a new one.

Bests,
Máté

>1 MMate2007: There is probably some very minor difference in the author name. That often happens with author names that have special characters (e.g. accents). All that needs to be done is to combine the author you created with the correct author. Then any subsequent books that are added to the author you created will end up in the right place, too. I fixed one author I saw in your catalog but if you have more you can post links to them here and I can combine them

I've combined a few others.

BTW some of this is because author names should be entered Last, First. They then show up as First Last.

>4 MMate2007: On the right-hand sidebar of each author page, toward the bottom is a section that says
"Combine with…
No authors suggested.
Search"
If you click on "search" then you can search for other variations of that author name and then click "combine with" next to them.

>5 MMate2007: You're not entering the names "wrong", really. It's just that English-based systems have trouble with special characters and sometimes handle them in different ways. (For example, an E with an accent could be handled as just an unaccented E or it could be omitted altogether.) Some author names can be entered several different ways and not be "incorrect". But once they are combined, any way that the author is entered will all go to the same place.
