Books not found in Libraries where they reside

For several days I have been having more and more troubles finding books in LIBRARIES (which are still accessable) where according to WorldCat they are residing.
Indeed one can from WorldCat access the library and find the book. However selecting the library under "SEARCH WHERE" and inserting the title brings up a "No Results Found".
This often happens (God or Allah only knows why) so I enter the author. Still no results

Several more libraries were tried, all possessing this work (its a standard) but none found via LibraryThing. Also in all Gaston Maspero was used - also no "FINDS".

ARE WE SUPPOSE TO ONLY USE AMAZON OR ENTER BOOKS MANUALLY.
This is not such a great problem, but I was always prowd to find my books in reputable libraries.

ARE OTHERS HAVING PROBLEMS ???

The organization that owns WorldCat, OCLC, recently "updated" the website. Among the changes is that only libraries who pay them a subscription fee will be shown to users who search for books. You can read more here: https://www.oclc.org/en/news/releases/2022/20220824-reimagined-worldcatorg-offer...

Obviously this is an extremely unfriendly change for users who want to find which libraries hold a particular book because few public libraries are likely to pay for the listing when they already pay OCLC for cataloguing data, but that's the world we're living in these days.

The plot thickins!
I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art - THOMAS J WATSON LIBRARY which LibraryThing accesses.
Since Gaston Maspero is a major writer for ancient Egypt and since the Metropolitan has a fantastic collection (like Vienna, Paris and Turin) I searched for him in their catalogue.

BOOKS FOUND - the first 26 are given - the library has many more. The book I was searching for is number 26!
The Libarary lists 71 (seventy one) books by this author

A misunderstanding. I have no problems with the WorldCat. This books are shown there, but they are not found in LibraryThing with that "SEARCH" Library.
I am also unhappy with the new WorldCat layouts, but that is another story!

Chris is working on this issue but some supporting software libraries need to be updated before he can roll out the fix. He's on it but I can't give you a timeline quite yet.

Worth noting here that the National Library of New Zealand returns different sets of results depending on whether the "ti" limiter is set or not. Interestingly, it returns more results when it *is* set. I haven't tried this more widely, but the finding may be of diagnostic value. (Note: University of Canberra, James Cook University, and University of Queensland have same issue, but with opposite results, at least in backend. Haven't tested in production).
