Edit your profile (https://www.librarything.com/settings/profile) and add the html for it to whichever section you want it to appear in and wherever you want it to be visible inside of the section. Make sure you switch to html view (click on the section, the bar at the top of the section appears and allows you to toggle between the two views.
LT does not have a special place where you can post the map or anything else - you add it wherever you want.

Click inside of the text of the field.
A menu appears on top of the text/field.
The first character on the line switches you to html.
Now you can type your html - you won't see a visible change in the text unless you already have some text which is formatted.

>4 AnnieMod: Apologies. Ive clicked on that button four times- and each time nothing- that I see changes. - unless- I can't see the map but others can

>5 EGBERTINA: Nope, you were not in HTML mode.
Go back to https://www.librarything.com/settings/profile
Click on your own text - the bar appears. Click on the symbols which look as the opening and closing of a tag once. In my browser the button itself changes color; it may not for you but the text may change if you have actual formatting. Cleanup the html if needed - or copy/paste it in again (because when you saved it as a text, the site added other things to it) and then save the Profile. Maybe you are missing that last step - once you saved it as text, it may need cleaning.
If you still cannot get it to work, share what browser and OS you are using.
