Why would someone call a reporter to go to the scene of a murder? What do you think was meant by the phrase ‘the real story went much, much deeper than that.’? What do you feel the real story was?

I think the killer is confident to ask the reporter to go to the scene of the murder. I think the real story is one that we will be surprised at. I think the real story is one that is more murders that we think.

The killer obviously wants this to be made public for some reason. Still struggling to work out what is behind this and what the real story is. Using Sergei’ says theory why possibly kill people who were doing good deeds / carrying out good actions.

Isn’t it a fact that serial killers thrive on publicity and notoriety? If he isn’t getting any, why not get the story out there himself?
As for the ‘deeper’ story, maybe he wants to share his own story with the world at large. I think there’ll be a whole background of cruelty and suffering, lurking in his past. (Not that that will excuse what he’s doing.)

Agree that he wants this going public. But i also still think there is more too it. I think the camera is important. If police use only digital photography now. He must want the crime scene photo in the other format for a reason. I may be way off, but think developing film rather than digital format is important

>5 bluebird_: interesting to see if there is anything in the developing.

I think the killer wanted the story out there so others could admire his work. LAPD and the FBI had so far been successful in keeping the details of the murders out of the press
