I prefer to do the opposite. Saving the book for last gives me more to look forward to.

#1 You missed the French film adaptation of Harlan Coben's book Tell No One. We saw it yesterday.

#2 I agree. Usually if I've read the book before seeing the film, I'm disappointed in the movie. However, there are exceptions. Tell No One, for example, everyone in our mystery discussion grp liked both the film and the movie. some in the grp had read the book years ago, but many just read it over the weekend in preparation for seeing the film on Monday.

The Harry Potter books are another example of films that were so true to the books that most were not a disappointment.

Coraline is being made into a movie? Woo hoo!

I went to a sneak preview of Marley and Me last night, and I thought it was good. Quite faithful to the book, not that that is necessarily important.
