Does anyone here remeber a regular tv series in the 90s called The Kindred. It only lasted for one season before it was cancelled. Fortunately, I watched every episode and taped them on my VHS VCR.

I think the episdoes are probably on DVD by now. It was about five vampire clans that fought to be in control often fighting against the other vampire clans. The Sci-Fi channel ercently had a marathon of several episodes of The Kindred.

Yea I loved the show too and was disappointed when I heard it had been cancelled and wouldn't be coming back for a second Season. I liked the idea of having Vampire Clans. If you think about it was kind of like a Vampire's version of The Godfather. You had 5 different
Clans each with their own Boss or leader and they were all vying for power and only one of them was the real power behind the Vampires.

The other Clans all had to answer to the main one in power and no one could even make another Vampire unless it had been agreed upon by everyone. I may have to find my VHS tapes and watch it again. I haven't seen it since they were originally aired on TV at the time.

It was a very interesting take on the vampire legend. I was also disappointed when Moonlight was cancelled I thought for sure that that one would have lasted! and True Blood the one based on Charlaine Harris's Sookie series is now a really big hit. Season 2 starts sometime in the next couple of months!

But the Sci-Fi Channel brought Moonlight back again and is currently being shown on Friday nights at 9PM directly behind Invasion which also had been on the Sci-Fi Channel previously just like Moonlight.

That's too bad. Maybe you could either go out and rent or buy Moonlight since it is on DVD then you could enjoy it anytime you wanted to which is why I have so many of my favorite TV Shows and Movies on either VHS Tapes or DVD's. Especially the TV Shows I remember watching when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s. We own the first two Seasons of My Favorite Martian, Hogan's Heroes the complete set of six Seasons, Season one of McHale's Navy just to name a few. I also am interested in eventually buying That Girl, Petticoat Junction, The Man From U.N.C.L.E.; The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. and too many more to start naming here. I have so many favorites from that era. I am buying them whenever I get the chance to and also whenever I have some extra Cash to spend on them. The only things I really ever spend my money on are books and DVD's.

I doing the same thing. I'm slowing getting all my favorite TV shows on DVD. I really like all the crime dramas that are on TV right now, but I am definately going to be getting Moonlight on DVD when I get the chance.

I love love love Moonlight. I was sad to see it canceled. I taped Kindred back when it aired on tv, but Fox screwed up the viewing order so much that it was sometimes hard to follow. Some episodes were never aired. I eventually bought it on dvd. There's a Canadian vampire drama called Blood Ties that was released on dvd last year - better than the other Canadian vampire show Forever Knight. Dark Shadows, the Revival can also be found on dvd - deliciously melodramatic and soooo early nineties.
