I can't believe it's November already! Does anybody have a suggestion of a book with vegan holiday meals? I have never really liked tofurkey (does anyone else thing it looks like a roasted guinea pig?).

Where do you live? Your guinea-pigs must be enormous!

When my and Vegan OH have a 'Sunday roast' dinner, we tend to have all the trimmings and generally don't feel the need for something to replace the meat, like for like.

*I even tried to make Vegan Yorkshire Puddings this weekend, but they resolutely failed to rise :s

I'm looking forward to making my Xmas pudding & mincemeat soon (traditionally last Sunday of November)!

I'm not fond of the Tofurkey roast myself (although their "lunchmeat"/sandwich slices are okay). I like Quorn's roast very much; however, it is not a vegan product as I recall.

As for cookbooks, the only one I can think of offhand is The Almost No-Fat Holiday Cookbook: Festive Vegetarian Recipes by Bryanna Clark Grogan, which is not specifically vegan, but does contain vegan recipes as well as some that could be made vegan. I've not cooked from it, though, so can't speak from experience as to whether it is good or not.

There are also a few holiday recipes at Vegetarian Resource Group: http://www.vrg.org/recipes/holiday.htm

My British in-laws always have sausage rolls as holiday appetziers. I've "trained" my husband to make them with fake sausage for me, and unless I eat them right next to each other, I can't tell the difference!
