Basically, girl fights and stuff like that puts me to sleep.

Nov. 28, 2008, 1:20 pm

if you could give us a list of books so that we don't get caught up in one of those clunkers, that would really be great. and you could add those to the list of clunkers on the clunkers board.

3G.A.B.E
Nov. 29, 2008, 12:51 am

Okay, thanks the worst by far I read was Backstage Pass and it was so horrible, I couldn't finish the books (it was only about two centimetres thick and that goes to show how terrible it was)

4cornpuff12
Nov. 29, 2008, 12:13 pm

wow. so was ghost of spirit bear. it was like half a centimeter thick, and i only read the first ten pages.

5G.A.B.E
Nov. 30, 2008, 1:18 am

ROFL!! I have heard of that book, the title sounds lame, ooh .. Ghost of Spirit Bear, who wants to read about the ghost of a bear??

6cornpuff12
Nov. 30, 2008, 4:27 pm

its not a ghost. it is about two boys, and they move into the city, and they keep thinking that they see a bear walking around in the streets of MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA! and it is really cheesy. one boy always says: "you just don't get it, do you?" it's like his punch line.

7cornpuff12
Nov. 30, 2008, 4:28 pm

what does rolf mean?

8G.A.B.E
Dez. 1, 2008, 1:20 am

R olling O n the F loor L aughing. Ew, the book sounds terrible :)

9Thespian
Dez. 1, 2008, 5:54 pm

That book does sound lame.

10cornpuff12
Dez. 1, 2008, 6:17 pm

yeah. it is the sequel to touching spirit bear, which i thought was uber sappy. especially at the end.

11Thespian
Dez. 5, 2008, 9:57 am

Can we please stop talking about that book? It's making me sick.

12cornpuff12
Dez. 5, 2008, 8:42 pm

okay, whatever u say, but we are all just trying to vent some of our feelings so that it won't make US sick.

13G.A.B.E
Dez. 6, 2008, 2:19 am

Lol, Stoe but I agree with Cornpuff, keeping feelings in isn't right!! But keep the topic board .. so, what do you want talk about, Stoe?

14G.A.B.E
Dez. 6, 2008, 2:22 am

Lol, Stoe but I agree with Cornpuff, keeping feelings in isn't right!! But clear the topic board .. so, what do you want talk about, Stoe?

15cornpuff12
Dez. 7, 2008, 10:42 am

what is with all the double-posted posts lately? it is getting a bit annoying. has anyone heard of like, a problem that the staff hasn't taken care of yet?

16G.A.B.E
Dez. 7, 2008, 5:03 pm

Oops, sorry, I don't know how that happened and I assure you, it was my first time. I find it annoying too, especially when it's triple posting :)

17cornpuff12
Dez. 7, 2008, 5:37 pm

i know, i think it happens when people click the post button again after their computer doesn't post, and then the comp thinks that u want it to double/triple post.

18G.A.B.E
Dez. 8, 2008, 7:40 pm

Yeah, that sounds logical. My Internet was crazy yesterday, it was so slow .. it turned out my brother was hacking the Internet and taking most of the downloading speed >:|

19cornpuff12
Dez. 8, 2008, 9:11 pm

he was hacking? u better tell him to stop, because he can get in trouble for that. maybe even get arrested.

20G.A.B.E
Dez. 8, 2008, 10:53 pm

He was hacking into our modem. He's pretty good at it. He would never do it to someone else, my Dad gave him a HUGE lecture on privacy laws and stuff.

21cornpuff12
Dez. 9, 2008, 11:49 pm

tehe. that is hilarious. i have done that before to my own modem. ours has a password, and it kept saying that ours was invalid, so i had to teach myself how to hack. pretty, fun.

22G.A.B.E
Dez. 11, 2008, 12:22 am

My brother learns off youtube ... *sigh*, yeah, I think our's has a WEP key as well.

23Thespian
Dez. 12, 2008, 10:47 am

I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset everyone when I asked to stop talking about "Touching Spirit Bear"

I don't care what we talk about. It alway's manages to turnout interesting.

24G.A.B.E
Dez. 13, 2008, 12:28 am

That is because we are interesting people! I saw your pic of you, Stoe, very nice XD. Go onto my profile and see me, I have dyed hair there so don't scream!!

25Thespian
Dez. 13, 2008, 2:43 pm

WOW! What a NICE face you have! And nice eyes too! There is no need to scream. I know people, they are very pretty, but their hair makes them look strange. You don't however.

And WE ARE INTERESTING PEOPLE!

26cornpuff12
Dez. 13, 2008, 7:58 pm

i know that we are interesting people. hehe. stoe, did u see the pic of my eyes? i will put it back on if u didn't.

27G.A.B.E
Dez. 13, 2008, 10:36 pm

Lol, thank you, Stoe! We are very interesting people, both personality-wise and look-wise! XD

28cornpuff12
Dez. 13, 2008, 10:37 pm

what do u mean by look-wise?

29G.A.B.E
Dez. 13, 2008, 10:56 pm

We look interesting, none of us have that "classical, timeless" beauty.

30cornpuff12
Dez. 13, 2008, 10:57 pm

what?

31G.A.B.E
Dez. 13, 2008, 11:02 pm

I think I said, "We are very interesting people, both personality-wise and look-wise" I meant by personality-wise = we have all different and assorted characteristics. I meant by look-wise = we all look interesting, we don't have that "classical, timeless beauty". We are special, in short.

32cornpuff12

Ooh, yeah, I saw it, Myra. I look kind of older and I have some colour in my cheeks! It's pretty good, just enough make up to look natural, well, I might try that look out sometimes but I think not that much mascara, my mum would have a fit! And my eyes look so green! That plum really compliments my eyes!

55G.A.B.E
Dez. 15, 2008, 7:41 pm

60G.A.B.E

I'm not Myra but I'm certainly happy!

People call me a Cullen Obsesser behind my back. One day, I heard a couple of girls call me that. But I turned around and said, "That's Miss Cullen Obsesser to you."

Lol. Random much ~`?

61Thespian
Dez. 17, 2008, 9:42 am

That's kind of funny though. And I was talking to Myra asking if she was happy because she was not happy that I was going to change your name!

Miss Nicky Cullen. What a cool name.

62G.A.B.E

I'm still searching for my perfect Garbo. My human aphrodite.

75cornpuff12
Dez. 22, 2008, 11:21 am

ewwww, aphrodite was mean. she left all these other husbands she had secretly been married to for one dood, and then he dies, and then she promised to mourn for the rest of her life, and then she falls in love with another dood.

79Thespian
Dez. 23, 2008, 7:30 pm

Aphrodite didn't do that. She was the Greek and Roman goddess of love. She was married to Hephaestus, who was the ugliest god on Mount Olympus, and she had an affair with Ares, the god of war, and was one of the causes of the Trojan War.

Sorry, I'm a Greek mythology nerd. Hope I didn't show off.

80G.A.B.E
Dez. 24, 2008, 1:07 am

No, the reason of the Trojan War was because Paris of Troy took Helen, the king's brother's wife as his own! And the king took that as an excuse to attack Troy because he wanted their wealth! Sorry, I like Greek mythology as well =D

81supersam
Dez. 24, 2008, 10:49 am

To....much...information AHHHHHHHHHHHH

82G.A.B.E
Dez. 24, 2008, 5:11 pm

LOL! I know that I am crazy! We had to study Greek mythology for History for semester one.

83supersam
Dez. 25, 2008, 2:10 pm

I wish we were studying something interesting like that. No offense, but the civil war isin't that exiting.

84G.A.B.E
Dez. 25, 2008, 8:31 pm

Next year we have to study Australian History .. that is soo boring my brain will likely be oozing out of my ears! I am dead serious, Australian History is the most boring thing I've ever done but next year it will be even worse since it will be more in "depth"!

85supersam
Dez. 26, 2008, 12:07 pm

American history is THE worst!!!! u have NO idea!!

86Thespian
Dez. 26, 2008, 2:56 pm

No but, Paris gave Aphrodite the golden apple in exchange for the most beautiful woman in the world as a wife. Sadly, she was already taken, and she was abducted.

And yes, I guess the guy used it as an excuse to get the wealth as well.

P.S.

I think it would be more interesting to read about Australian history, rather than American History. I HATE IT!

87G.A.B.E
Dez. 26, 2008, 5:24 pm

Yeah, and I would rather American History!!
I'm following Homer's version of the Troy War~~~!!

88cornpuff12
Dez. 27, 2008, 2:32 pm

i have absolutely no idea what all you people are talking about.

Um, History, Greek Mythology and Classes =)

90Thespian
Dez. 29, 2008, 12:29 am

I like Ancient History. Like Ancient Rome, and Ancient Egypt. Stuff like that. I just don't like reading what happened during the 1500-1800's so much.

91G.A.B.E
Dez. 29, 2008, 4:06 am

OMG! Me too! I like, know everything there is to know about Ancient Egypt, I mean, I've studied it for three years in a row, after three years, you know stuff =D

But now .. we have Australian History .. ew.

94cornpuff12
Dez. 30, 2008, 10:39 am

wow. we dont have fancy new-fangled classes at our school.

95G.A.B.E
Dez. 30, 2008, 8:26 pm

Maybe it's different in Australia && America. Plus, I go to a private school, maybe the curiculum is different from public schools (also, I don't know if you go to a private or public school, Myra).

96Thespian
Jan. 3, 2009, 11:48 pm

Oooh a privet school! Good for you Nicky. And I do go to a public school too. But I think regions around the world, they teach different things. Like I heard schools in America are good, but we students take it for granted or something.

97felymonster
Jan. 11, 2009, 9:09 pm

I GO TO PUBLIC SCHOOL TO. IT IS AWSOME LIKE AUSSIE!!!

98G.A.B.E
Jan. 15, 2009, 8:33 pm

In Australia, most public schools are like bad. Like the people that go to them are like gangstas and sell drugs and stuff. My parents hate public schools. There's only a few "good" ones. And the kids that go to public schools absolutely HATE private school kids. There's this one public high school near where I live and last year, there had like five problems about it on the TV, stabbings, drugs, fights .. just not a nice place.

99felymonster
Jan. 16, 2009, 9:23 am

YOU NEED TO READ THE BOOK THE YEAR OF SECRET ASSIGNMENTS! IT IS ABOUT A PUBLIC AND PRIVTE SCHOOL IN AUSSIE! AND ITS EXACTLY LIKE YOU DESCRIBED IT! ME AND ALICE READ IT!

100ibetonalice2
Jan. 18, 2009, 8:53 pm

Up there ^^
Stoe is right about Aphrodite being one of the reasons for
the start of the Trojan War.
Zues gave Paris the golden apple and told him to give it to either Hera or Aphrodite and he gave it to Aphrodite because she promised him the most beautiful women in the world. That is how Paris and Helen "fell in love" it was because Aphrodite made it happen.
Stoe and Nicky since you like Greek Mythology
you should read Percy Jackson and the Olympians they are GREAT!
And also Troy and Ithaca by Adele Geras.
Very, very good.

101felymonster
Jan. 18, 2009, 10:40 pm

i like greek mothalagy but not that much

102G.A.B.E
Bearbeitet: Jan. 19, 2009, 9:17 pm

Message 100: But my teacher said that it was b/c Paris of Troy fell in love with Helen and they ran away together and Helen's husband and her brother took that as an excuse to attack Troy (the real reason is just being that Troy was a wealthy city and their walls offended them). And it's got Hercules in there as well. Here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trojan_War
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iliad

So there are two versions of the war.

103G.A.B.E
Bearbeitet: Jan. 19, 2009, 9:24 pm

Yeah, so if you're ever gonna live in Australia, go to a private school, lol. It's more expensive but wayyy better education. At my school, Asian people are "popular" cos they've got other connections and stuff still but I'm friends with them. If you go to my school and if the Asians hate you. You are like a social outcast.

104ibetonalice2
Jan. 19, 2009, 9:48 pm

The reason that Paris of Troy fell in love with Helen is because
of the whole thing with the apple.
That's a funny story about Asians lol.

105G.A.B.E
Jan. 19, 2009, 10:30 pm

It's a true story. They rule like most of the schools. It's better to be friends with them - you have no idea what they can do to people they hate.

113ibetonalice2
Jan. 22, 2009, 8:05 am

YES YOU DO!!
That series is soooo good.
Have you read Percy Jackson
and the Olympians, Stoe?

114Thespian
Jan. 22, 2009, 9:39 am

No, I read stuff about the Olympians. It was interesting. The only thing I thought strange about the greek mythology is that they were all kind of incestual; that kind of grossed me out. And I thought some of the gods had issues. Like the god Apollo!

But I can always read The Olympians. Is it a series?

115felymonster
Jan. 22, 2009, 5:27 pm

I NEED TO READ A MILLION BOOKS BUT AGAIN NO TIME.

116G.A.B.E

118ibetonalice2
Jan. 22, 2009, 10:47 pm

Stoe,
Percy Jackson and The Olympians is a series.

Lightning Thief
Sea of Monsters
The Titan's Curse
The Battle of the Labyrinth

Those are the four books in the series so far.
They're amazing!

119Thespian
Jan. 23, 2009, 9:58 am

Hercules also had anger issues! He apparently killed his family.

And I think I said this before.

Back then in Ancient Greece, it was ok for men to be gay, it was the highest form of friendship between men! For women I think it was different!

120felymonster

121G.A.B.E

Yep, he had male lovers and it was pretty gross. I read it and I was like WHAT? NOT HERCULES! b/c I liked him in Troy that movie with Brad Pitt.
Here, Fely:

That's about Hercule's male lovers. Ick.

:) We learn something knew everyday. The Romans took the Greek Gods and just basically changed their names a bit and fiddled around with the stories.

Not exactly. Hercules is a mythological character. Achilles was a completely different person.

???? We studied the differences between Greek and Roman mythology and there weren't many. That's because Romans took the Greek's stories and just tweaked them a bit. But yes, Achilles was an actual person but depending where you are in the world, both Hercules and Achilles are a mythological figure. Phew :)

Definitely. And it takes less muscles to smile, so you won't get that many wrinkles than if you frowned all the time! Unless, you could have a poker face 24/7 ..

148: I disagree. Just Dance and Pokerface sound similar because they used the same beat, they just increased the tempo for Pokerface. Her two other songs, Starstruck and Eh Eh sound really different and are really good.
149: That's my fav part of the songs. Cherry cherry, boom boom .. Gaga. :) I haven't heard Chi sing before ;)

I've only heard of two of the songs she sang: Pokerface, and Just Dance. I'm going to look up those two songs see if they sound different.

153: Yeah, that's why she sounds the same to you. Just Dance and Pokerface use the same haunting beats, just that Pokerface is slowed down a bit. Eh Eh sounds COMPLETELY different. It's like the complete opposite from Just Dance and Pokerface :)

I love Action by Flo Rida ft. Pleasure P, Halo by Beyonce and Boom Boom Pow by The Black Eyed Peas is SUPER catchy (it's a new one).

Yes I have. I've been to Italy many times. And I'm going again next year. And they don't understand that lyrics that much. But Italians have a facination for America. And when they listen to music, they don't edit the songs. So you listen to unedited songs with the worst language. It was so awkward when I would listen to the music with my dad. I'm chuckling when I'm thinking about the awkwardness.
